Yusei was a merman who lived in the underwater kingdom of Satelitte. When he was born, he first lost his mother who had died having him that cold night. His father took care of him until... he was killed by humans... Yusei had been alone most of his life, until the king of Satelitte (we can decide who that is later.) adopted him, not wanting to see this young boy be out there alone any longer.
Though the boy was happy to have a home, he was bullied by the king's (sons or daughters, or both. Up to you.) The King wasn't aware of any of this though, he thought he was truly doing the right thing and didn't realize that Yusei was having all these problems. Yusei felt like an outcast wherever he went, and though he was told not too many times, he loved to go the surface to see what's up there. One night though, he saw a ship. Growing more and more curious he went over to it to see who was on it, and what was going on.
