You were walking through the city, the area where all the shops with windows full of jewelry, clothes, almost anything you could think of to buy you could find there. You soon saw a friend you hadn't seen for a few years, you didn't even know they were back in the city, they had disappeared after a party that left everything discombobulated, but they're was someone with them. A child, the appeared to be 4 or 5, and they were holding their hand. They stopped at one of the toy shop windows and when the child pointed at a toy your friend smiles and nodded then carried them into the store. Do you approach them? It leave them be?
