Chapter 9

First Kiss

Nathalia's POV

Days later and up until now I still don't know why Adrian doesn't talk to me. Maybe I'm just used to him bothering me all the time, and now it is all new to me.

Parang kailan lang nung pinipigilan ko siyang kulitin ako, tapos ngayon nangyari na.

For sure the reason why he stopped is because of Lily. I'm sure they're dating. It is obvious that they like each other.

"And why our bestfriend's frowning?"

I heard Margo's voice so I turned my glance at her. She's with Angela.

"Bakit ang tagal niyo?" I asked instead of answering her question.

"Si Margo kasi ang tagal umihi, parang nawasa 'yung ano." Angela hissed.

"Hmp!" Margo rolled her eyes before they sat.

Tuwing lunch talaga ay sabay sabay kaming kumakain at dito kami sa canteen nagkikita kita, since hindi naman kami parehas ng schedule kaya hindi kami sabay pumunta rito. Pero silang dalawa ay same schedule bago ang lunch.

"By the way, why are you frowning when we came here? Anong iniisip mo?" tanong ulit ni Margo.

"Malamang naiinip na sa kaka-antay sa atin, ang tagal mo kasi." sabat naman ni Angela.

"Shut up!" napipikon naman na sabi ni Margo. I just laughed at them.

"Let's order." aya ko sa kanila.

"Maiwan na ako rito. Ako na magbabantay." sabi ni Angela na tinanguhan naman namin.

"What's yours?" I asked Angela, ako na lamang ang bibili para sa kanya.

"Same as yours." sabi niya sa akin saka inabot ang pera niya na kaagad ko namang kinuha.

Margo and I stood up and then we walked to the front to buy our food. When we bought it we immediately went back to our seats and started eating.

As we ate I felt like someone was looking at me. I do not know if there's really someone looking at me but it's just I feel uncomfortable.

I wandered my eyes around to see if anyone was looking at me because I was confused for some unknown reason. I immediately stopped my eyes on a man staring at me. They were sitting at the far end of this canteen. His eyes meets mine but he still did not look away. His glance were fixed in mine.

'Adrian...'

I think the two with him are talking to him but he still doesn't avoid looking at me. He's just ignoring them. I immediately averted my eyes when I felt my heartbeat suddenly speed up.

'Ito na naman!'

"Are you okay? Why are you blushing?" Angela suddenly asked when they saw me not eating.

"W-wala, m-mainit lang." I lied.

"Huh? Hindi naman ah?"

"N-naiinitan a-ako eh, b-bakit ba? Don't mind me, just eat."

I continued to eat even though I was confused because I knew someone was watching me.

'Tsk! Bakit ba kasi nakatingin siya? Naiilang tuloy ako!'

After we had lunch, we headed different directions. We have a different schedule now, that's why we separated ways. They were just my classmate in first and last subject.
