After the long day that you had you decided to take a nap. Ross and Rocky went out to have some brother time while Abby stayed at the house with you to help keep Ross’ sanity. She sat on the love seat with all her notes spread across the coffee table. You were on the other couch lying down. While you were napping you started having a very vivid dream. It was a recap of what had happened with Aaron. It all felt so real once again.
*dream*
“Get off me!!” you said kicking and squirming, trying to get away from him.
“I told you I would get what I wanted.” He said grabbing you and ripping your pants right off your body.
“Ross!....Get…off….me!!!”
*end of dream*
Abby hears you scream and runs over to you. She shakes you trying to wake you up.
“Sarah! Sarah! Wake up!” Abby yelled freaking out.
Once you woke up you realized it was a dream. You started to catch your breath and relaxed. Abby looked over at you with worry in her eyes. You looked down at your feet as tears started to slowly roll down your face.
“Are you okay? What was that about?” Abby asked with concern.
At that moment you realized that she didn’t know what had happened. Once you regained yourself enough you knew you had to explain.
“Um well Aaron stopped by while Ross was at his interview. I was taking a nap upstairs and he decided to lie next to me pretending to be Ross. I turned around to see Aaron there so I tried to get away from him but he was too strong. He raped me as Ross walked into the bedroom. That dream I just had was a vivid replay of what happened.” You say as you start to cry really hard.
Abby wrapped you in a tight hug. “Oh my gosh! I am so sorry. I swear if I ever see that man again he won’t know what hit him. He won’t get away with it.”
You sat there for a while crying into her shoulder. Soon Ross and Rocky come walking in. Ross sees you and immediately runs over to you. He pulls you in tightly against him rubbing your back trying to calm you down. He then kisses the top of your head and wipes the tears from your face. Then he looked over at Abby.
“What happened?” Ross asked.
“She was taking a nap and she started having a vivid dream. I didn’t know what it was about but she started screaming, telling someone to get off and yelling for you to help her. I ran over to her instantly and woke her up. Then I asked her what it was about and she told me what happened. The dream she had was a replay.” Abby said scared for her best friend.
Rocky looked over at all of you unsure of what to think or even say. He was shocked that any of this would happen. He then looked over at Ross with a questioning look.
“Cassie was behind it. She called Aaron up and got him to hurt her.” Ross said as he held you close to him still rubbing your back.
What Ross didn’t know is exactly what had happened in the past between you and Aaron. You were afraid to tell him because of what just happened. If he knew he may have thought that you were just teasing Aaron, playing hard to get instead of trying to get away from him. At this point you truly needed Ross. He was your rock, your protection and the love of your life. Abby was the only one in the room that knew what happened and at this point you planned on keeping it that way until everything settles down.
Rocky came over to you and hugged you. “I’m so sorry this happened. I swear none of us will let him near you ever again. This family is going to protect you.”
A weak smile spread across your face as you pulled away. Ross then pulled you on his lap, cradling you in his arms. You rested your head on his shoulder feeling safe once again. Then guilt started to run through you. You hated hiding this from him even though it was in the past. What you didn’t realize was that your past would come back and haunt you.
