You hold Ross’ gaze for a moment then take a deep breath.
“Well let’s just say I’m not exactly crazy about going up in the air in a harness.”
“Bad experience?” Ross asks “Not exactly, um I’m kind of afraid of heights.” You look down at the ground feeling like an idiot. He lifts your chin up and smiles reassuringly.
“Baby you won’t be alone and I’ll have my arms around you. I’ll protect you and keep you safe the whole time don’t worry.” He wraps his arms around you and holds you close to him. You bury your face into his chest taking in his cologne.
The director calls you two over. The crew straps you and Ross into the harnesses. After they walk away Ross grabs you by the waist and pulls you close. They start raising the two of you up in the air. You start freaking out and Ross tightens his grip on you to remind you that you’re safe. You look intently in his eyes and wrap your arms around his neck.
“Action!” The director yells, the music starts playing. He looks at you smiling which makes you smile. He slowly leans down grazing your lips and then he finally kisses you. You forgot that cameras were all over and that you were at least 10 feet in the air. Whenever Ross kisses you, you forget your fears and just go with whatever happens. He slowly pulls away and leans his forehead against yours with both of you smiling again. “Cut!” the director yells again.
The crew lowers you down and takes the harnesses off. Both of you walk back over to the group. You notice the look on Rocky’s face when you finally reached them.
“Dude what’s wrong?” Ross asks.
“The girl I chose for the video backed out and now there’s no one for me to shoot my scenes with.” Rocky sits down and puts his face in his hands. You start thinking for a second and speak up.
“I think I may have a solution.” You say and everyone in the group looks at you. “My best friend just moved to the area and well I think she would be perfect for the video.” Rocky looks over at you with a big smile, “You seriously rock you know that!” Rocky runs over to you, pick you up and spins you around. Then Rocky looks at you, “What are you waiting for? Call her!!”
You shake your head and smile. Grabbing your phone you call Abby.
“Hey girl, I got a question for you.” You say as you bite your lip.
“Sure what’s up?” Abby says excitedly, yet unsure.
“Well what would you say to being in a music video with R5? You would be paired up with Rocky, you know the guy you think is hot.”
Silence fills her end for a few. Unsure of what is going through her mind while you wait for a response.
“Are you serious? I would get to be with one of the hottest guitarists out there in a music video? Count me in!! I’ll be there ASAP!” right after that she hung up and you walked back over to where everyone is. Rocky looks over at you with a worried look on his face, “Well is she able to do it?” I try to stay serious to prolong the wait but it doesn’t work. “Yes, she’s on her way as we speak.”
He ran over to you once more and picked you up in a tight hug. You could tell that you just made his day. Little did you know how much better things were going to get for him and your best friend.
