Sa sumunod na araw, maaga akong nagising para simulan ang misyon ko.
The first thing I did after waking up from the bed, I took a peek inside Euris' room to see if she's already awake. Gaya ng inaasahan ko, gising na ito habang nagbabasa ng libro. Bago ko siya batiin, inilipat nito ang pahinang binabasa bago magsalita.
"You can make your own breakfast."
I can't help but smirk on what she said.
"I know. And I would like to invite you."
Saglit nitong inalis ang tingin sa libro para magkomento sa'king sinabi.
"You already said that you can handle your mission alone."
That made my smirk vanished.
"Hindi naman tungkol sa misyon kung bakit kita iniimbitahan mag-umagahan. Can't I request even a company this breakfast?"
Nakita kong bumuntong hininga ito.
"Kakakain ko lang."
Kumunot ang noo ko sa sinabi niya.
"Are you avoiding me?"
Umiwas ito ng tingin at ibinalik ang atensyon sa libro. Based on how her eyes move, she can't fool me by just pretending that she's reading a book when she's not.
"Sige. Hindi na kita pipilitin."
Paalis na sana ako nang bigla itong magsalita.
"Hindi kita iniiwasan. And you know it more than anyone that I would never avoid you."
Isang simpleng ngiti ang sumilay sa mga labi ko matapos marinig ang kanyang sinabi. Since the dawn isn't yet beginning, I still have time to talk to her on the moment. Bago tuluyang pumasok sa kanyang silid, nagpaalam muna ako kung pwede ako dito. She told me that why would I won't allow her when the whole Skye Manor will be mine in the future? Thus, this little room of hers was part of it.
Nanatili siya sa study table samantalang umupo ako sa gilid ng kanyang higaan. I scanned the whole room and saw that every corner have varities of small plants and vines. Hindi pa siya nakakaisang buwan sa silid na 'to pero napakaganda na ng disenyong nagawa niya. Her love for green hue screams on her room. It's a total opposite of Skye's color which is no other than blue.
Even so, I'm still fine with it as long as she can do what she love.
"Totoo bang nag-almusal ka na?" tanong ko kay Euris.
"I did. Bakit hindi ka ata naniniwala?"
"Maybe you're really avoiding me."
"Hindi ako nagbibiro, Martini."
I quickly caught the small knife between my finger after she threw it on my direction. Napangisi naman ako dahil sa kanyang naging reaksyon. Just like the old days, she isn't fond of telling what she feels. Her weapons do.
"I know." sabi ko sa kanya bago ibaba ang patalim sa higaan.
Silence filled the whole place after that moment. Nanatiling tikom ang bibig ko at pinapakiramdaman kung okay pa ba na nandito ako sa kanyang silid. After few seconds, I heard her sighed.
"If you're already hungry, fine then. I'll come with you at the dining area."
I can't help but smiled.
"Ngayon na ba?"
She returned her gaze on the book.
"I'm still reading. I'll accompany you as long as you don't disturb me while finishing a chapter."
