Sitting inside of their bedroom chamber, Xu XiuLan rubbed his sore waist. The night before, he was tossed around back and forth all night long because he was going to be gone for the next day and a half. He had a date with Lin Jun Kai and was going to be spending the entire day out in another city. As the emperor of their nation, Tu HuaLi wasn't able to leave his post as things had just settled down and they were going to integrate the newly conquered land to the east. Although he could just leave it to Wu QingJue, it would be inappropriate if his presence was missing. It would just be a slap to their faces if he was absent; clearly stating that they aren't important enough to raise a need for him to be there.

This would only create and root the animosity against their nation, causing only more trouble. After all, the nation to the east was not a small one and rivaled their kingdom's size, so this was no trivial manner. He also needed to make sure that the remaining citizens of the land were willing to accept the acculturation, and it would be a successful one.

Tu HuaLi sulked because he was going to be forced to spend a night alone in the large cold bed. He could only charge up on his 'Xu XiuLan' and hold on until they return.

Hearing the footsteps, Xu XiuLan opened his eyes and descried a hiding figure behind the thick curtains. Their little head was showing slightly as they peeked at him. Those warm and bright brown eyes were adorable, sparkling like jewels. He sat up on the bed with a faintly strained smile. The only reason why he was still the way he was and hadn't taken a rejuvenation pill was due to his system's absence. Bao Bao had been 'kidnapped' by Wu QingJue and was currently at his place. Xu XiuLan also didn't want to bother the two of them and let them reconcile and catch up; he was sure there were still many things left to be talked about.

He beckoned his son over, "It's okay. Come here, Xiao Jun."

Instantly, Lin Jun Kai's eyes glimmered and almost shot out beams of light. He giggled sweetly as he ran over, "Good morning, mommy~"

Leaping onto the bed, he laid kisses on his mother's face to show his love. Cradling him, Xu XiuLan peered down at Lin Jun Kai, "Let's get ready, shall we? Or we else we might end up being late."

Bobbing his head, Lin Jun Kai had no objections, "Un!"

'Helping' Xu XiuLan off the bed, they called in the maids to help dress him. Out of his pale white sleeping robes, he was now dressed in a blue robe with wide sleeves that left him looking like an immortal from the Heavens. His innate sultry nature was tamed by the cool and elegance of the blue robe.

Lin Jun Kai blushed, "Mommy and me are a match now."

Lightly rubbing the top of his head, Xu XiuLan hummed, "En."

The two of them soon departed after having a small meal. Tu HuaLi stood outside, scowling at the carriage as if it had a mind of its own and was forcibly stealing his wife and child away. Only after the silhouette of the carriage was gone did he head back inside. Tu HeJian covered the smile on his lips with his hand, "You act as if you won't see them for a million years, your benevolence."

He didn't deny his brother's statement and even acquiesced it. It left Tu HeJian a little speechless as he followed after Tu HuaLi. His brother's shamelessness knew no bounds. The word 'modesty' did not exist in this man's dictionary. Shaking his head as he walked, he could only pretend not to notice Tu HuaLi's boldness in the future.
