A large black cloud overtook the building of the Qingcheng Fu Sect, causing everyone to take suck in a breath of cold air. How could there be so many fierce corpses here? There must be thousands— No, hundreds of thousands of them standing up there. Maybe even close to a million.

The echoing sounds of the xiao continued to drift through the air unrestrained. The corpses let out excited growls sensing such a ample amount of yang energy. It almost made them seem as if they were conscious. Their white eyes surveyed the horde of cultivators brandishing their weapons at them.

Both side stood still, not daring to move unless the other side did first. The three sect leaders stood on the elevated ground with chilled faces. They had already assumed the worse already, those corpses above was none other than the disciples of the Qingcheng Fu Sect. There was no other acceptable reason for how Fu Yemu was able to gather this much, even given the time he had succeeded the sect to now and it was strange how none of the disciples came out to fight them.

An Zhangyi made contact with his system.

[How is he controlling them?]

On the other side, Bao Bao scrunched up his face as he floated above the mass.

[Fu Yemu seems to be using the flute to control them.]

His response caused An Zhangyi to have some suspicions as it was impossible for the main culprit behind the control of the corpses to just be the xiao. The flute, alone wasn't able to guarantee the ability to control this enormous amount of corpses. There must be something else that was the core to this phenomenon.

[Search his body.]

Feeling puzzled as he didn't understand why his host wanted to do a body search. He could only absentmindedly agree.

[Alright.]

Closing their transaction, he re-focused his attention to the field before him. Clenching the sword in his hands tightly, his aura shifted and almost became indiscernible. Unless you paid special attention, you would not notice his presence.

Unknown which side was the first to initiate the war, a loud resounding noise trembled through out the land as the two sides clashed. A deafening roar rumbled from the throats of the corpses as they charged heedlessly. The colorful sword glares from the cultivators' side gleamed like a death scythe, there was no hesitate to tear down the foe before them. Bright flames enveloped certain areas as ashes dispersed into the air, leaving behind a sliver of purified air.

An Zhangyi was like a walking asura as he dashed forward. His red robes fluttered with grace as he ran forward, it's eye catching color became a blur. Seemingly to only slightly swing his sword, only the mutilated body parts of the corpse remained. But not even an interval later, they were consumed by the luminescent green flames.

Scanning his surrounding as he rushed to a certain location, he kept tracked of the locations of An Qingfeng, Mu Buran, and Mu Yuyue. None of them seemed to be in need of assistance and held their ground against the wave of corpses.

Weaving through the interstices, he broke through to the middle of the horde. But as soon as he entered the area, a multitude of hands with elongated black nails shot to where he was.

An Zhangyi kicked off the ground and leaped onto the body of a corpse. Using their body, he propelled his body into the air. Like a butterfly in the sky, his robes flowed behind him like a pair wings. It was a very enchanting scene as his facial expression was flawless in every way.

The vessel that he had migrated into had inherited his mother's beautiful traits. Their long lashes framed two stagnant black orbs and their thin lips were like a succulent desert, swaying the hearts of young men wherever it went. His smooth jade like skin was even softer and smoother than silk and velvet. It was pale in colour and had a radiant luster to it, making it seem almost like a sin to touch it.

Twirling, he turned the obstacles surround him into ribbons of rotting flesh with a turn of his hand. Instantaneously combusting into the profound flames right after, it caught the eyes of many cultivators.

An Qingfeng spotted An Zhangyi's figure and his eyes narrowed. The corners of his lip faintly curved up as he observed his younger brother. An Zhangyi had made leaps and bounds in his sword art as it became more fluid and elegant since he sparred with them.

If only An Qingfeng knew the truth this younger brother of his had only been acting because he (AZY) would be deemed OOC, he (AQF) would've coughed up blood. But it wasn't wrong of An Qingfeng to think so, as the original An Zhangyi wasn't as skilled as the current An Zhangyi.

Using his footwork to ease into the last line defense, An Zhangyi easily passes through the endless stream of corpses. His sword aimed for their neck and cleanly severed the head from the rest of the body.

Although both sides were at a standstill right now, An Zhangyi knew that the cultivators would lose in the end. They are live and it is much more cumbersome as they have a limited amount of energy. Once their strength wanes, they will become prey to the corpses.

Bao Bao had informed him of an alert. A hidden mission had been delivered to Bao Bao as soon as An Zhangyi stepped within the vicinity of the Qingcheng Fu Sect. It requested that the rate of casualty for the cultivator side must not surpass fifteen percent, otherwise they will fail the mission. But unlike most hidden missions that only have the option of obtaining points, this one would deduct his points if failed.

This was the main reason for his haste, as it forced him to choose losing points or gaining points. The only way to make sure that the rate of casualty did not exceed the fifteen percent, he would have to go find the final boss as soon as he can to get rid of them.
