Retrieving the memories, Ains furrowed his brows. He was currently in the body of An Zhangyi, the younger half-brother to the main villain of the story, An Qingfeng. Based on the memories and the information from the plot line, they were only in the first quarter of the story and he had already changed apart of the story. But there was something strange as there are no memories of his childhood until he was eleven years old.
(A/N: 'Ains' will be known as 'An Zhangyi' from this point onward.)
[Is there anything wrong with An Zhangyi's body other than the recent injury?]
Bao Bao scanned their body and found no peculiarities within his host's vessel.
[Host, there are no other injuries other than from the corpse.]
[Can you determine what caused the for his amnesia.]
Bao Bao furrowed his head as he looked at the data from the scan.
[Bao Bao is unable to determine what caused the space in his memories, as his body shows no other detriments. But there is something strange... Host's body seems too healthy and you're healing much faster than normal.]
[Much faster?]
Bao Bao hummed.
[Mmn. Host's only oddity is... That Host's body shows high levels of platelet³, macrophage⁴, and oxygen levels in the bloodstream.]
An Zhangyi paused for a moment, he thought of what his system had just informed him of.
[Do you know how long before my wounds close?]
[Estimated about one hour and thirty minutes before host's body fully heals.]
[En.]
Though An Zhangyi doesn't understand what kind of condition his body is in currently, he can determine that he has a super healing ability.
An Qingfeng furrowed his brows. Gently placing his fingers against An Zhangyi's wrist to check his pulse, he concentrated his attention on searching for any anomalies. Seeing that he (AZY) only suffered from blood loss and not corpse poisoning of some sort, they let out a sigh of relief. The tension in his eyebrows relaxed and he took his hand away.
Mu Buran, "How is he?"
An Qingfeng, "Zhangyi is only unconscious due to blood loss. He sustains no poisoning but it's too deep."
Mu Yuyue, "Big brother Qing, we need to get him treated immediately."
An Qingfeng hummed, "En."
He understood the most out of the three, just how bad their injuries were. If they aren't able to get the wounds taken care of within the next couple of hours, there was no need to fear the corpses down below; he would have died of blood loss.
He reached out a hand to Mu Yuyue, "Give me your coat."
Mu Yuyue was shocked, "M-My coat?"
An Qingfeng's voice dropped a few degrees colder, "Your coat."
Mu Yuyue found out that she was thinking too much and hastily took off her coat, handing it to him, "Ah, here you go big brother Qing."
Her face was blushing deep red in the dark. She wanted to crawl into a space for her immoral thoughts. How could I think like that?! How embarrassing!
An Qingfeng tore up the coat into strips with ease and started to wipe the blood away, filling the large open wound, and then carefully wrapping the strips of cloth. He laid his younger brother on the ground and took off his coat to cover the other. His jaws were clenched tightly. If only he had been quicker in reacting when the other pushed him away... The temperature around him plummeted and his eyes narrowed down at the 'unconscious' An Zhangyi.
Mu Buran ran his hand through his hair in annoyance, "We're surrounded by the corpses... The only way to leave would be for one of us to draw away the corpses while the other surveys the surrounding, Qingfeng."
His eyes swept over An Zhangyi's body, "It's good this place is high off the ground. They're attracted to the scent of younger brother Zhang's blood. Otherwise, we would have a much harder time trying to scout."
The two continued to talk about how they were going to split up the search. The ultimately decided that An Qingfeng would scout while, Mu Buran would lure the walking and fierce corpses away. An Zhangyi listened to the An Qingfeng and the others talk, feeling somewhat conflicted. Although he knew that things don't always follow the original path... Wasn't this just a little too early for things to deviate already? He had only arrived in this world about less than half an hour ago.
An Zhangyi also found out something very important; none of the others were aware of his vessel's condition. Otherwise, they wouldn't sound so rushed to find an escape, especially An Qingfeng. He had been originally pretended to be asleep as a means to obtain the plot, but since things were already like this and there was no need for him to push or assist the protagonist and villain in any way, he would remain as he was and receive the tasks as well.

Pulling up the data, Bao Bao looked over the information with no visible changes to his face, unless you look at the corner of his mouth twitching...

Bao Bao couldn't help but feel that everything that the original An Zhangyi valued his older half-brother very much. It was as if they were their holy idol and the original would've done everything for him...
An Zhangyi decided to lay still and let them do as they wish. He would spend this time going over what little memory this vessel had. There was too little information on this vessel and from his memories, his parents treasured him but not as a son.
Just as An Zhangyi had looped through the memories four times, he received a prompt from Bao Bao.
