Mingling around with some of the other folks, I bumped right back into Regina. She wore a fuchsia pink sweater and black leather pants with a pair of black ankle strap heels. To compliment her outfit, she had a few silver pieces on, which was cute. For her hair, she had in some all black faux locs that were up in a bun.

"You good boo? I see you enjoying yourself talking, just wanna make sure you okay," pulling me off to the side, we went off to the dinning room that was set up with decorations. Pulling a chair out, I went ahead and sat in it.

"I'm good love, just trying to juggle the shop, my clients now that I work from home, Kairi's doing well in school, and I'm still trying to find a new place for us to live. Not to mention, building up a case for Dave to have custody of Kairi."

"Well shit, you have a good amount on your plate girl! I do hope they find out who hit Dave though..whoever it is will be a dead man walking. Hopefully ya'll get out of that condo, but is he gonna sell his house?"

Before I could respond, I heard Sean come through and tell us to come inside the kitchen and get ready for grace. Seeing Kairi run over to me smiling made my heart warm.

"Hey stinka, you okay?"

She nodded her head, "Just playing with Ashley and Marcus," we turned referring to her cousins.

Everyone gathered hands as Slime's mother joined us in prayer as we bowed our heads and closed our eyes.

"Our Father in Heaven, It is with great pleasure that we gather here today, together, and in good health. With what's going on in this world, we know just how blessed we are that you have made this possible. Thank you for all that you have done for us Lord and those who are near or who have come far. We just thank you so much for this meal and for the hands that have prepared it, and pray that those who could not be with their families on this day can find total comfort in you. Thank you for the blessings! In Jesus name we pray, AMEN."

"Thank you! Now come on, cause I'm grubbin' like a mug," Teddy shockingly spoke out loud before his girlfriend hit him upside the head.

We chuckled and laughed before beginning to make a line and I grabbed two plates and forks for Kairi and me. Soon enough, the doorbell rang again. Shaking it off, we continued in the line piling food on our plate.

"You mind sharing a plate for me?" a deep familiar voice crept through my ear moments later as my back was faced towards them. Looking up, I could see everyone stopping and smiling at me.

As I turned around, I nearly dropped my plate that had a quarter of rice in it as tears began to burst out of my eyes. Dave was in a wheel chair smiling up at me. From the doctors extending his stay in the hospital due to complications and being almost an entire month, he's right here in my face.

With a fresh cut and shape up on his beared, he wore a burgundy hoodie, stone washed jeans and classic timbs. Boy did he look beautiful and my heart was beating rapidly. Moving closer to him, I wrapped my arms around him hugging him inhaling his deep scent.

I was finally reunited with my other half.

As we all began eating, I could feel Dave smiling and being comfortable, that's what I miss. Feeling a tap on my shoulder, I turned to see an older woman who had small resemblance of Dave.

"You must be Parker. I'm his mama, call me Mama Faye," she gave me a proud smile before I sat up giving her a proud hug. Turning his head, I could feel Dave staring at us

"It's so amazing to meet you Mama Faye. Although I haven't heard much about you, I have lots to learn," pulling away, she stopped me fanning me off.

"Chile please, that potato salad is good enough for me and those wings taste real good with a splash of that red wine. What wine did you use? And I love the spiciness."

I laughed a little, "Nothing more than a little Taylor wine to go with some honey barbecue sauce then I added a bit more honey before going in with a random hot sauce."

She shook her head smiling before sitting her plate down, "On a serious note, I do appreciate you and want to thank you. I've never seen my son smile and carry on so happy since that one girl drove him to have a baby with him. You've shaped him into the man I'd never thought I'd see and for that, I thank you. He may be going through a hard time, but I know you have what it takes to stick with him through the tough times. Take are of him and keep guiding him. As far as my grand baby, I see you're working miracles already."

We looked over to seeing her eat vegetables. Now, that is what you call greatness. It took me two weeks to try and persuade her that veggies are just as nutritious as fruits. Now look, she eating away.

Dave's mother and I continued small talk before Dave decided to butt in.

"Aye mama, can I please have my girl back?" he turned his head sideways.

She began to roll her eyes due to him being impatient, "Fine..it was nice meeting you Parker, such a lovely woman. Do me a favor and knock him upside the head, time for me to go steal a piece of that roll you made."

I quickly watched her walk off before Dave pulled me into his lap, "There's the woman I've missed for so long. Yeen miss me baybeh?"he began to trail kisses along my neck.

Holding back my moans, I cleared my throat as he pulled away slowly, "I did babe. Now that you're here, we can finally enjoy each other's company and time.

"I like the sound of that," using his pointer finger and thumb to turn my chin towards him, we shared a deep, yet passionate kiss.
