[Jack's point of view]

"Hey, guys, wanna hear a new song I wrote for Dirty Work?" Alex asked. He sat down in front of me and the rest of the band, well and the crew, with his guitar. We all nodded anxiously at him. We've been waiting for Alex to write another song. He wanted this to be a really good album, and so far, it was. Alex cleared his throat and started playing.

Alex set his guitar down and smiled. I got up and hugged him. I remember when we were both perfectly described by that song. 

"It's amazing." I said. My voice was muffled by his shirt. He let me go and looked at everyone.

"Jack, I'm not done." He sassed. I chuckled and sat back down on the couch. 

"No, fatass. Now you can stand up." He ordered. I stood up and furrowed my eyebrows. Everyone was laughing and chuckling. 

"What?" I asked Astrid, who was holding hands with Zack on the other couch. I guess I should mention they're married now. A lot of shit happens within a year. 

"Turn around, asshole." Alex said. I chuckled and turned around. But I didn't see Alex. I felt a tug on my pants and looked down. Alex was on one knee with a box in his hands. 

"Marry me?" He asked. I hid my face in my hands and then looked back at him. 

"If I have to." I said dramatically. 

"Sometimes I wonder why I'm attracted to such a sarcastic fucker." Alex stood up and shook his head. I chuckled and took the ring from his hand and slid it on my ring finger. 

"Well, what next?" I asked everyone. 

"Next, we finish the album, do some touring, get hitched, and make babies." Alex said seriously. But I knew he was joking. I could practically read Alex better than he could himself. 

"We can't make babies, Alex." I scoffed. 

"Who said we were the ones who were gonna make babies?" He scoffed back.

"You two, I swear to god, you're perfect for each other." Rian faked a gagging noise. 

"Shut up, Ri! I think it's adorable." Cass smiled. 

"Well thank you, Cass." I bowed. She rolled her eyes. 

**A FEW DAYS LATER**

"Guys! I finished it! I wrote all the songs!" Alex yelled and danced around the room. 

"Well, can we please have the tracklist?" Matt asked. Alex smiled and obeyed Matt. Matt read the tracklist aloud.

"Hey Alex, is Guts what I think it is?" I asked.

"Uh yeah, it is." He smiled. 

"You are the best." I hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. 

"Why thank you." He smiled and wrapped his arms around my waist. 

And that is how our story ends. With Alex forever being my ticking time bomb.
