You're All I Know -Chapter 9

[Jack's pov]

"Okay guys, I'm gonna get Alex back for pranking me. I need you guys to distract him while I go out. I'm gonna pretend I'm lost and he'll come for me, when I see him walk in front of me I'm jump out and scare the fuck out of him." I explained with a smirk. Everyone nodded their heads. Even Matt agreed to this. Mainly because he had to listen to me complain about the Home Alone situation. 

I sat on the front lounge's couch, acting casual. I was slightly staring at Alex. But come on, who wouldn't? Alex looked up and saw me staring. 

"Something wrong?" He chuckled. 

"Nope. You know I love you?" I whispered. He smiled at me. Or he smiled at my words. Is there really a difference? 

"I love you too. Now stop being a creep." He said, making me laugh. I nodded and picked up my acoustic guitar to kill some time before the bus stopped at the next venue, so I could put my plan into action. I call it the Mission Missing Prank. 

Alex sat next to me and started singing some new song he was writing. I went along with the tune. I wasn't really paying attention to the lyrics. But I did notice that at one point in the song he said, "Is this what it feels like? Finding out That I've got the guts To say anything, Feels like Breaking out When I can Give up my reputation." 

I smiled and stopped strumming the guitar and looked at him. He stopped singing and opened his eyes, "What?" He asked. 

"You should put it on the new album." I stated. I remember when I first heard him sing that song. Automatically I knew it was something special. 

"What? But it's an old song." He chuckled. 

"But it has tons of meaning in it." I said and tapped the tip of his nose with my finger. He scrunched his nose up and leaned forwards, kissing my cheek. I pouted until he sighed and kissed me properly. 

The bus stopped and I sighed. Rian and Zack had come out to distract Alex why I snuck off the bus. Once I was off I was running down the side walk. There was bushes lining the road and sidewalks. 

"Why hello there." Someone said from behind me. I smiled and turned around. 

"Hi--Wait..What?" I said when I turned around and my face fell. 

[Alex's pov]

I sat on the couch, playing with my phone. I was actually waiting for Jack to get back. Everyone told me he went out to buy everyone some coffee and he would be back. But that was an hour ago and he still isn't back. 

"I'm gonna go look for him." I sighed. Everyone looked at each other confused. 

"He didn't text you or anything?" Zack asked. He turned to Astrid with a worried look on his face. 

"Uhh, no." I said looking away from my phone. I walked off the bus and looked around. We've only toured here a few times, so I know where a few things are. 

"Okay, let's go this way." I pointed to the left, where you would find Starbucks. We all started walking. 

After 15 minutes of walking we found Starbucks. I walked inside but he wasn't in there. 

"He's not there." I groaned and ran a hand through my hair. 

"Okay, look, this was supposed to be a prank. But Jack was supposed to text you and tell you he was lost as soon as he left. We're getting a little worried." Astrid explained. Rian, Cassadee, Zack, Matt, and the whole crew nodded their heads. 

"Wow, well thanks for ruining it everybody." Jack walked up from behind me with tears in his eyes. I went to go hug him but he awkwardly shifted his body away from mine. 

"Are you okay, Jacky?" I whispered. 

"Fine, Alex. I'm just fine." He said and started to walk away. I looked at everyone else who looked just as clueless as I did. 

[Jack's pov]

"You honestly think that he actually likes you? Is this some sort of joke? Jack, this is probably just some type of sympathy." She swung her hands around. 

"Why would he be giving me sympathy?" I chuckled. Anger was coursing through each and every one of my veins at this point. 

"Jack, you heard him yourself! He knows about the burning! He's giving you sympathy, he just feels sorry for you!" She yelled back. 

"May, you're my sister and I love you because of that, but you don't fucking know me. You took my dad away from me." I stood up from the chair I was sitting in. 

"No Jack, you pushed him away. You blamed him for being drafted. You took him away from your own mother. Now I'm trying to protect you, and you don't believe me?" She was laughing at the end. 

"You're right." I whispered, realizing, I pushed my own dad away from the family we had. If only I wouldn't have blamed him for something I knew nothing about. Then there's Alex....The one who's holding sympathy. 

"So what are you going to?" She whispered and sat in front of me.

"May, I think I... I need to get away from all of this." I shook my head. 

"Do what's best for you, Jack. You know I'll always be with you." She patted me on the back. I nodded and left the small Cafe we were in. I saw Alex standing with the others, talking about how I was going to prank him. But I really wasn't in the mood for pranking now. I wiped my tears away and walked up to them. 

"Wow. well thanks for ruining it everybody." I slightly chuckled to take the attention away from my tear stained face. 

"Are you okay, Jacky?" Alex asked. I flinched as he said the nick-name he gave me a long time ago. 

"Fine." I answered. 

Tour will be over soon. This all will be over soon. 

A/N- And there's the worst chapter I have ever written. Sorry! Trying to update when I can. 2 weeks and 5 days (week days, not including weekends) until my summer! June 12!! :) As some of you may know, I started posting "50 Thoughts That Scare Me" ayee! :P
