I woke as the sun just started to peek through the curtains. A moment later my mood caught up to me. I was agitated and restless. My night shirt and bedding were drenched in sweat. That alone had my mood skyrocket right to downright bitchy. Looking over to the other side of the room I noticed I, once again, slept through shift change. Both Jarek and Grayson were out cold. That seemed to piss me off even more. I wasn't sure if it was because they were sleeping or just their presence alone. Before I went on a huff about it I decided a cold but peaceful shower was much needed. I was surprised I made it to the bathroom without either of them stirring. That actually brightened my mood from toxic to just explosive.

In the mirror I noticed the shadows under my eyes were barely noticeable but the sweat
filled hair had most of my attention then the flush in my cheeks. Oh yeah I looked like death warmed over with a fever. And there went my mood right back to toxic. The water wasn't
cold enough to cool down my body even with me drinking as much water as hit my body.
That is when I noticed how sensitive everything was. My skin felt tingly, my throat burned, my hair hurt, my eyes scorched, and to top it all off I had a mother of all headaches. What was worse than toxic? Viral? Whatever it was I bet I was just about to share my mood with everyone else.

Barely dry I struggled to put on my clothes. If I had a choice the bra would not be one of the pieces I was wearing but being my size a bra was a must. Yep today just kept getting better
and better. By the time I walked out of the bathroom I was annoyed, twitchy, and looking
for a fight. I needed out of the cabin and now. The boys were up, wide awake and waiting for me it seemed. One look at my face they both sat unmoving and speechless. I think I actually
growled at them when I walked by. Outside for not even a second I ran back to get my
sunglasses. It was too bright and the sun seemed to laser its way into my brain and blind me all at the same time.

"Good morning," Vic said in a way to cheerful tone.

Yep that time I know I growled. A very low menacing growl. I was in no mood for
anyone or anything. Vic and C.J. stopped cold when they got a good look at me.

Vic and his cheeky smile grew wider. "So that time of the month is it?" There was no
mistaken he was making fun of me.

My head snapped in his direction. Lowering my head looking at him through hooded
eyes I let a warning growl out. He needed to stop talking and smiling, right now.

"Come on Vic not right now," Jarek said cautiously keeping his eye on me, ready to
pounce. "Hey Hunter? Why don't we go for a walk? Maybe some breakfast? Then after we
can take a walk to see your uncle's and my dad." He was being very careful with his
words and his actions. I could tell he was doing everything cautiously.

"Nah, she doesn't want to do that do you Hunter?" Vic was smiling brighter than before.
Taking a slow step towards me he lowered his voice. "No, what Hunter wants is to run, hunt...hmm maybe even play?"

Run? Hunt? Oh that is exactly what I wanted to do. Staring at Vic's sweet excitable smile turned mischievous. I heard heated conversations behind me but my eyes were just for Vic. He
understood. No one else did. But why was there this nagging sensation in the back of my
head? I was missing something but I didn't know what.

"Come Hunter...or is that you Lupa?" Vic's voice was low and seductive. "Come run with me." His shirt hit the ground before he finished speaking.

"Dammit Vic! This is her first full moon. Back. Off. Now!" Jarek's voice sang
through my body. His command wrapped around me squeezing me tight.

Vic's face fell. "What do you mean her first? How do you know she is..."

My breathing was almost panting. I wanted to run. To run on all four legs not two. No. No, he can't change his mind. Damn Jarek! I turned to tell him exactly what he could do with
his commanding interfering ways. As I did I seen my uncles and Nikko jogging at a pace not
to look suspicious. My time was running out. Grayson was at the door looking more pissed then
worried. Not pissed at me but at Vic.
