~Alexander's POV~
I noticed John was barely breathing.
'This is so heartbreaking to me and I don't know why.'
I shook him a bit, attempting to wake him up.
"John?"
'He's barely breathing. Okay, okay. I need to calm myself down. He's probably fine, at least physically.'
"John, please wake up."
I shook him a bit more, a bit faster and rougher.
"John!"
I kept repeating his name, trying to wake him up, while shaking him.
"John, please wake up!"
~John's POV~
I woke up with Alexander by my side, shaking me. Basically, I was in tears, but I tried my best to hide it.
"John, are you okay?"
I stayed silent for a second to try to pull myself together.
"Y-yeah. I guess. Why'd you wake me up?"
"You were barely breathing."
"Sometimes when I'm sleeping, mostly when I have nightmares, that happens. Don't worry about it."
"Still, I was worried."
He pulled me closer to him.
"Are you sure you're okay?" (an// Alexander talking)
"I guess."
We sat in silence for awhile. It was very awkward and uncomfortable.
'How does he tolerate me? How hasn't he left by now? I don't deserve him. I need to excell more, and meet my expectations. I'm not enough for him.'
"Alex, why are you even here? How do you tolerate me?"
"I'm here because I love you to death, John. You're in no way an annoyance. Why are you even asking?"
"I'm just.. wondering, I guess."
"I know you're lying. Tell me the truth."
"I don't know.."
"I'm asking for nothing more than the truth."
He put his arms around me, providing me a feeling of protection and warmth.
"Fine..."
I told him everything I had just dreamed about.
