A slow song that I recognized started to play.

I smile as Alex takes my hand.

"Stop being so perfect."

"I'm not perfect, you are."

I blush slightly.

"John, there is no way I could ever describe how compassionate I am for you. There are not words on how to even tell you how much I love you."

My cheeks fluster red.

Lyrics begin as we start dancing. I smile for every single moment.

"Hey, do you know the name of this song?"

"Pfft, know the name? I know most of this song. It's named Only Us from the Dear Evan Hansen Cast Recording."

"Okay, I didn't know you knew that much about it."

Alex giggled a bit."

"I know the lyrics too."

"Okay, I challenge you to lip sync the second verse."

"Easy. I'll just start now."

I start lip syncing.

"And the rest of the world falls away.. What do you say?

I hear the song coming to an end.

I take his hand as Alex takes his other hand and pulls my face towards his, and we kiss until the final note has finally faded away.

He wrapped his arm around me.

"You've made this night perfect, Alex."
