I really do not understand it. Why has everything seemed to become increasingly sad? It may just be my imagination, but it is an awfully vivid one if it is. All around me things appear so much darker than they used to. I guess I haven't been alive all that long in comparison to some, but I have lived long enough to see changes.
It just seems like comics, tv, and media of all kinds are moving toward darker themes. And the people along with them. The lines between good and evil become exponentially more blurred by the year and I am not seeing many attempts to stop it. I'll admit, I myself lean more towards darker things, but I do not understand why everything is doing the same. There is corruption, chaos, catastrophe, and calamity, and the human populace seems to withdraw into some "Oh that's over there" fantasy. Then we move into a "There's not enough bad stuff going on, why don't we do..." ideology that makes things worse.
I'm probably just being naive, so I am asking for explanation. I also apologize for my half formed thoughts and atrocious grammar, as I am tired and just got back from a camping trip.
