INGREDIENTS :
▶Dry white peas - 1 cup
▶Raw mango - 1/2 cup
▶Carrot - 1 tbls (optional)
▶Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
▶Coriander leaves - 1 tbls
▶Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp (as per your taste)
▶Salt - as neededTo_Grind :
▶Grated Coconut - 3 tbls
▶Green chilly - 2
▶Ginger - 1/2 inch pieceTo_Temper :
▶Mustard seeds - 2 tsp
▶Urad dal - 1 tsp
▶Hing - 2 generous pinch
▶Curry leaves - few
▶Oil - 3 tblsMETHOD :
1. Keep all the ingredients ready. Soak white peas in water for 8 hours. Wash and pressure cook with water for 3 whistles. Drain water and keep by side.
2. Grind Grated Coconut, green chilly and ginger to coarse paste. Heat oil in a kadai and temper the ingredients listed in the table 'To Temper' add grinded Coconut paste and saute for a while, don't turn it brown.
3. Now add the cooked peas. Chilli powder and salt.
4. Mix Everything well and cook in low flame for 2 more minutes, switch off flame. Finally garnish with Coriander leaves and squeeze lemon juice.
