Kaara Sev (my Native Place Special) [52]

INGREDIENTS :

▶Gram flour / Kadalai maavu / Chanadal flour - 1 1/2 cup
▶Rice flour - 1/2 cup
▶Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
▶Asafetida - a pinch
▶Cumin / Jeera seeds - 2 tsp
▶Black pepper - 1 tsp Crushed
▶Butter - 1 tbls
▶Salt to taste
▶Oil to fry


METHOD :

Take gram flour in a wide vessel.

Add Rice flour to it.

Add red chilli powder, Asafetida, salt, Cumin and freshly semi Crushed pepper corns.

Mix all the ingredients together.

Sprinkle water little by little and knead to thick dough add Butter and combine.

In a kadai/ wok, heat the oil in medium flame. In the kaara Sev press, or murukku maker, fill in the dough inside.

Press the handle directly on hot oil.

Deep fry it with stirring.

When the Sev turns golden brown colour, remove the drain the oil in a kitchen tissue.

Allow to cool and store it in air tight container.

Yummy crunchy home made kaara Sev ready to relish with hot cup of coffee. Enjoyyyyyyyy... Your break time..
