Chapter 60 - The reunion with an old friend

I was sitting there, with my head lowered. It was a surprise that I didn't fall from the chair considering that Lucy slapped me pretty hard and I was also a little drunk already from all the vodka that I drank.  

I slowly raised my hand and touched my cheek. It didn't really hurt... Well, my cheek didn't, but my heart did.  

I looked up in to Lucy's blue eyes and sighed. I knew that I should expect a greeting like that. '' Lucy, '' I repeated.  

'' Why?! '' she hissed, ignoring the surprised looks that the people were shooting in our direction. '' Why must you always ruin everything?! ''  

'' Is that... '' Caroline whispered.  

I nodded. '' Yeah. It's the Lucy I was telling you about. The vampire I created. ''  

'' What did you tell them about me?! '' Lucy yelled. '' It's not true! All the bad things she said aren't true! She's the monster here! ''  

Rachel shot me a serious look and I nodded again. I knew what she meant. Rachel respected very much the fact that vampires should remain a secret to humans and by the looks of it, Lucy was going to show her fangs and attack someone any second.  

I stood up and looked at Lucy. '' Let's go outside. There we'll talk. ''  

She hissed and yelled: '' Bitch! Don't order me around! ''  

At the end she still followed me.  

I calmly walked out of the bar and in to the cold night. I took a few steps through the empty street and tossed my head back, looking at the sky, covered with bright stars. I wasn't really sure about what to do. I knew that Lucy was still really mad but I didn't want to fight with her. 

I turned around with vampire speed and grabbed Lucy's wrist before she could punch me. Then I stared in to her eyes. '' You want to fight me? ''  

'' I want to kill you for killing Jack! '' she hissed at me.  

'' You still think that Jack was just food? '' I seriously asked.  

Her eyes slightly widened with confusion. '' What do you mean? ''  

'' You didn't let me explain then... Jack's brother was a vampire hunter, '' I explained. 

Lucy gasped with shock. '' W-What? '' she slowly whispered with disbelief.  

I nodded. '' Yeah, he wanted to tell his brother that you were a vampire so he could kill you. ''  

Lucy was staring at me for a few seconds, her eyes were wide. I noticed how tears began gathering in them. Then she blinked and quickly shook her head. '' You're lying! '' She tried to punch me with her other hand but I caught it again. She tried to move away but it was worthless. '' You're lying! '' she repeated. '' Jack loved me! ''  

'' He loved you until he found out what you were! '' I yelled at her.  

She froze and her eyes widened. Then she continued shaking her head. '' No. He loved me. He didn't lie. He couldn't do something like that.... He... He... '' Her voice turned in to a whisper and tears began to fall down her cheeks.  

'' You can trust me. I never did anything to hurt you. You know that you were always like a sister to me. Little Lulu, '' I murmured with a half smile on my face.  

She froze again and looked at me with surprise. '' What? You mean that you don't hate me for leaving you? ''  

Lucy knew everything about me and what kind of person I was. She knew everything about my history with Klaus and how I hated him for leaving me. And how I hated Stefan and Damon for leaving me. And then she also left.
