Chapter 40 - Emotions

We were driving away of the Lockwood house. I was still thinking about Hayley's words. Tyler and her were trying to find a way to brake the bond between Klaus and his hybrids. That included me too. But did I wanted to do this? I was currently mad at him, but that didn't mean that I wanted to leave him, or something like that.  

Klaus noticed that I was staring at him in a weird way and frowned. '' What? ''  

'' Nothing, '' I quickly replied.  

He narrowed his eyes at me, probably wanting to make me tell him what was I thinking about, but I stayed quiet.  

I looked through the window. '' Hey, where the hell are we going now?! '' I suddenly yelled and looked at him with anger.  

He stayed serious. '' Back to the mansion, sweetheart. ''  

'' Drop me at Rebekah's house, '' I ordered.  

'' No, '' he simply replied.  

I frowned, annoyed. '' Now. Or I'll jump out of the car. I don't wanna go back to the Mikaelson mansion with you. I'm still mad at you. You didn't let me kill Elena and you didn't let me kill Hayley. I mean, what's the problem with you, man?! ''  

'' We are going back to the mansion, love. I already told you that I have my reasons of saving Elena and the same is with Hayley, '' he replied, trying to stay calm. '' Can we stop talking about this? '' 

'' Stop the car, '' I murmured.  

'' No. ''  

I was staring at him with anger. '' You are so... '' I just shook my head, trying to remember the right words. '' Bastard. ''  

An amused smirk flashed through his face. '' And your anger is so entertaining. ''  

'' Would you stop? ''  

'' Why don't you stop? '' he asked. '' Can we go back home and forget all this ever happened, sweetheart? ''  

Home. What a funny word. I always thought that I never found it. But the truth was that my home was always standing right there next to me. My home was in his arms, in his hugs, listening him telling how much he loves me.  

'' I need you, '' he suddenly whispered, his empty eyes were staring at the road in front of us. '' I feel like there's something missing when you aren't around, love. A big hole that can be filled only with your beautiful eyes and smile. ''  

I was staring at him with sadness. I hugged my knees, putting my chin on them. '' I need you too, '' I murmured. When I said it I knew how real the words were. I couldn't think of being without him.  

'' Let me be there for you, sweetheart, '' he said, putting his hand on mine.  

I was staring at him and wondering how was it possible that I loved a man like him. So imperfect, possessive and with big anger issues.  

I closed my eyes, slowly nodding. '' Okay. ''

I was just sitting on my bed in my room when I called Caroline.  

'' Yes? '' she answered the phone.  

'' Caroline... '' I slowly started. '' There's something I gotta tell you. ''  

'' Alice? '' She sounded surprised. '' Sure. What's up? ''  

I thought for a second. '' Maybe it would be better if we meet in person. Can you come to the grill? ''  

'' Okay, '' she slowly replied. '' See you there. ''  

I hang up the phone.  

I grabbed my coat and walked out of my room where I almost bumped in to Klaus.
