Alice's P.O.V

October 5, 1972

We were back in London as we had to start recording Live and Let Die before I had to go and film. My parents had greeted us at the airport and took us back to their house, as that's where we always stayed when we came to London.

As soon as we got in the house, Mabel took the girls to their rooms so they could get settled in. I let Flower out of her carrier and she went to go explore the house. Martha followed her. Those two had become the best of friends.

"It seems that you guys are coming back to London more and more frequently" dad commented.

"Well Abbey Road is where we record our music" I said

"Have you two considering buying another home here?" dad suggested. I looked to Paul.

"I suppose it wouldn't hurt to buy another house. I know this won't be the last time we come back to London" Paul said

"You know, nobody is living in your old house. I drive by there everyday and it looks empty. Maybe you should try buying it back" dad said

"That wouldn't be a bad idea. What do you think Paul?" I asked

"It sounds good to me. We can go and look after we're done in the studio for the day" Paul said

~

When we got to the studio, Paul and I heard our names being called.

"Paul and Alice McCartney!" a voice said. George Martin was making his way over to us.

"George!" Paul said. George brought Paul into a hug.

"How long has it been?" George asked

"I think four years" Paul said. George smiled and turned to look at me.

"Alice! It's good to see you again!" George said, bringing me into a hug.

"You too George" I said.

"Look at you! You're still as beautiful as ever" George said.

"Thanks George" I said.

"Whenever you two are ready, the rest of your band is waiting for you" George said

~

We spent two hours recording the song. George decided that we should use some orchestral arrangements with the song. We all thought it was a good idea so we went along with it. It definitely made the song sound amazing. After all the hard work we've been doing, we decided it was time for a break.

"Hi Alice" I heard Helen say as she walked up to me. I turned around to face her.

"Hey Helen! How is everything?" I asked

"Everything's fine. Do you want to go outside for a bit?" Helen asked

"Sure" I said

~

Helen and I went outside. We took a seat on the steps.

"How's the engagement going?" I asked

"It's going great" Helen said

"Have you and Denny decided when you two are getting married?" I said

"We want to wait until after the baby is born. That way we don't have the stress about the wedding and the baby" Helen said

"That's a good idea" I said

"I remember you were pregnant with Mary when you and Paul got married" Helen said

"Yep. Three months" I said

"So how are you and Paul?" Helen asked

"We're alright" I said

"And the girls?" Helen asked

"The girls are fine. They do miss you though" I said

"Well I miss them too" Helen said

"We got a cat" I said

"Really? What's it's name?" Helen asked

"Her name is Flower" I said

"Does Martha like her?" Helen asked

"Martha and Flower are best friends. When they're sleeping, Flower is always cuddled up against Martha" I said

"Aww, that's so cute!" Helen said

"What else is new? Oh yeah! Paul and I are going to buy back the old house" I said

"The one on Cavendish Avenue?" Helen asked

"That's the one. It seems that we come to London so often and my parents aren't always going to have the room for us. We figured it's best that we have our own house to stay in when we come  here" I said

"I think that's smart of you two" Helen said

"We're going to go by there after we finish up" I said

"Could I go with you guys? That used to be my home as well and I'd love to relive my memories" Helen said

"We'd love for you to join us" I said

~

After we were finished, we stopped by my parents house to get the girls. Paul and I went inside to go and get them while Helen waited outside for us. They were in the living room.

"Ethel, Mary! We're going out so get your coats and shoes on" I said. They did as I asked. Mabel was with Stella so I walked over to them.

"Are you going to the house now?" Mabel asked, giving me Stella.

"Yep" I said

"Have fun then" Mabel said. I smiled and walked back over to Paul. Ethel and Mary were standing at his side.

"Are we ready to go?" I asked. Both Ethel and Mary nodded.

"Then let's go outside" I said. Ethel and Mary rushed outside and then I heard a shout.

"Helen!" I heard Ethel shout with excitement. Paul and I looked at each other and smiled. We stepped outside and saw Ethel and Mary hugging Helen.

"I missed you girls too" Helen said.

"Let's get going" I said

"Where are we going mommy?" Ethel asked

"It's a surprise" I said

~

We made it to our old house on Cavendish Avenue. It still looked the way it did when we moved out. There was still a for sale sign in front of it.

"Here it is" I said

"It still looks the same" Paul said.

"Ethel, do you recognize this house?" I asked

"Did we used to live here?" Ethel asked

"We did. We moved out to the farm when Mary was born" I said

"Are we also going to live here?" Ethel asked

"That's what we were planning to do" I said

"Should we go inside?" Helen asked.

"I think we should" I said. The girls followed Helen inside the house. Paul and I then went inside.

"It also still looks the same inside" Paul said. I smiled and looked around.

"Paul?" I said

"Yes, love?" Paul asked

"Let's buy our old house back" I said
