Chapter 17

Alice's P.O.V

Laura, thinking she's the sneakiest ninja in the world, brought us around back since there were customers inside that would recognize Paul and I right away.

"Laura, are you bringing us to a private room?" I asked my sister.

"No. I have something even better planned for you two" Laura said. Paul and I followed Laura up a flight of stairs that led us to the roof of the restaurant. Laura had set up a beautiful dinner for us on the rooftop.

"Laura! This is amazing!" I said. I hugged her.

"I hoped you would like it. What do you think Paul?" Laura asked

"It's perfect Laura" Paul said.

"Thanks! I have the best family ever! Now, please take a seat" Laura said. She grabbed my arm and pulled me over to the table.

"Watch your grip" I said.

"Sorry" Laura said. She pulled out the chair and sat me down.

"I thought I was the one who was supposed to pull the chair out for her" Paul said, as he sat down.

"I'm just trying to set the mood" Laura said. I rolled my eyes at her.

"You two wait here. I'll go get you your food" Laura said

"It's vegetarian, right?" I asked

"I wouldn't have made it any other way for you two" Laura said. She went to go get the food, finally leaving us alone.

"Laura thinks she's this love expert but she's really not" I said

"I wouldn't be too sure of that. She did set up this whole thing for us" Paul said

"That is true" I said. Paul reached his arm across the table and offered me his hand. I gladly took it. Paul stroked the back of my hand with his thumb.

"You look really breath taking, love. I don't even mind the fact that you're wearing make up" Paul said

"Mabel insisted that I did. I still don't understand why you don't like me wearing make up so much" I said

"Because you're already so beautiful without. When you wear make up, it's like a mask that hides your beauty" Paul said

"Spoken like a true romantic Paul" I said

"That's because I am when I'm with you" Paul said. When Laura came back, she was carrying a big plate of spaghetti and she had an accordion with her.

"I'm back! I hope you don't mind spaghetti" Laura said. She set the plate down in front of us.

"What's with the accordion?" I asked

"What's the cutest Disney movie ever?" Laura asked. Paul laughed a bit.

"I think I know where this is headed" Paul said

"Does it happen to have dogs in it?" I said

"Why yes it does! And I know it's your favourite movie Alice" Laura said. She got the accordion ready.

"Now I will play and sing to you the most romantic song known to man and animal lovers" Laura said

"Please, Laura..." I was cut off when she started playing the tune. She then started to sing.

Oh this is the night, it's a beautiful night
And we call it bella notte
Look at the skies, they have stars in their eyes
On this lovely bella notte.

I put my head down in embarrassment. Laura is the most embarrassing person in the world. She was suddenly interrupted when one of the waiters called her name.

"Laura?" the waiter said. Laura stopped the music and looked at him.

"Excuse me? Can't you see I'm trying to create romance here?" Laura said to the waiter.

"I'm really sorry but Bob and Dan are fighting again" the waiter said

"What is it about sloppy joe night that makes those men so violent?" Laura said. Laura followed the waiter leaving Paul and I alone again.

"She is so embarrassing" I said

"But you have to admit, she can play the accordion really well" Paul said

"I'll give her that" I said

After dinner, Paul and I decided to go to the park for a bit. It was late so we figured nobody would be there. As we were walking, Paul picked some flowers on the way and he gave me every single one. We found a perfect spot under an oak tree. Paul sat against the tree and I sat in between his legs, leaning against him with his arms wrapped around my waist.

"I've been thinking about making another album soon" Paul said

"That's great Paul" I said

"I'd want you to help me with it" Paul said

"Of coarse" I said. Paul moved his hands to my hair and then he started to braid it.

"I've also been thinking about starting another band" Paul said

"Really?" I said

"Yeah but I think I want to wait a bit longer. Maybe until after we make our next album" Paul said

"Our album?" I asked

"Yeah. We're gonna make it together so it'll be our album" Paul said. I smiled.

"Would you want me to be in this band with you?" I asked

"Of coarse love. There's nothing I won't do without you" Paul said.

"You really are the sweetest Paul" I said. I turned my head so that I was facing Paul. We both leaned in and our lips touched. I laid down in the ground and Paul was on top of me without breaking the kiss.

"Love?" Paul said as his lips left mine.

"Yeah?" I asked

"I want another child" Paul said. I smiled and cupped his cheeks, pulling him into another kiss.

"I'm serious, love. I want us to have another baby, and then another and another" Paul said

"How many kids do you want Paul?" I said

"As many as we can have" Paul said

"That shouldn't be a problem. We have sex with each other almost every single day" I said

"Are you saying that you want another kid?" Paul asked

"Of coarse. I love being a mom and having more kids makes it even better" I said. Paul smiled and then kissed me again.

"I love you so much. I really love you" Paul said

"I love you too" I said. We kissed each other again, never pulling away this times.
