Chapter 26: Camp (Niall's POV)

Start from the beginning

The driver took us straight to our cabin, and we grabbed our stuff out the back and went inside of the cabin. It was fairly sized, big enough to put three beds on each wall, with three side tables and two dressers on the back.

“I dibs the extra bed.” Zayn said immediately, going to push to beds together.

There was a groan from the rest of us, but no one really complained (anyways, I’m pretty sure Louis and Harry were going to push their beds together).

-----------------------

The five of us unpacked fairly quickly (expect for Zayn. That guy has a helluva lot of stuff), with Zayn and me on one side, and Liam and LouisandHarry on the other side. The dressers were pretty hard to figure out, mostly since Zayn (“again, too much stuff mate!”) took up a good 3/4th of one dresser. But after we finished unpacking, we headed to the mess hall.

The seating was the same as back at the school, so we were back to sitting with May. Not that that was a bad thing… Most of the time.

“Hey May.” The five of us chorused, sitting down next her. Instead of it being a round table, like at the school, this one was a picnic table. With the checkered cloth and everything.

“Hey boys.” May said, and then kissed Zayn’s cheek. “Hey Zaynie.”

He smiled at her. “Who’re your room mates?”

“These four girls called Leigh-Ann, Jade, Perrie and Jesy. They’re all pretty cool.”

The six of us chatted aimlessly for a bit, before Ms. Rose went to the front of the mess hall, and waited for us to quiet down before talking. “So, I went over the rules back at the school, but I didn’t go over the challenges. Well… I did a little, but not really.” She looked over us, before continuing. “The numbers on your cabins is your ‘team’ number. Each section- eg. Section 1- will face off against other cabins in that section. Got it? Get it. Good.” Ms. Rose cracked a smile at us. “On the last day, the top teams will face off for the grand prize… Which you’ll find out after the team win.”

There was loud groan set off from the student body, and I couldn’t help but be in it. Seriously mate? You really can’t tell us? Ms. Rose let out a laugh, shaking her head before going to sit back down with the teachers.

---------------------------

The completion started right after breakfast the next day. The first thing, for our group, was a race. In the water.

The five of us headed down to the lake, and I couldn’t help but grin. This was going to be easy (plus, I got to look at Liam’s bare chest. Damn that boy is something nice to look at).

“Now. This is a team race, so all members must participate.” Ms. Rose said, looking out at us. “You can get in the water, but don’t start.”

The five of us jumped in, and I could feel the water wrap itself around me and change me. When I came back up, the others were grinning at me. “We have an idea.” Liam said, looking at me. “But you don’t have to do it.”

“What Liam here means,” Louis said, placing a hand on Liam’s shoulder, “is we want you to drag our sorry-“
