Edition 4 - Part 3: Character - Spawn Me a Character

1. Character name: Caoilainn (pronounced 'kay-lin) O'Malley

2. Character description: Hair colour: Brunette. Eye colour: Blue. Skin tone: Fair. Frame: Curved. Height: 5'5.

3. Define their childhood: Caoilainn has no memory of before she was seven. She was found in a blizzard by Sam and Tom O' Malley. They took her in and raised her as her own. Throughout Caoilainn's childhood she was seen by some as an outsider; an invader in the small town.

4. What are their flaws? She's single-minded, impulsive, sarcastic, stubborn, obnoxious. Appearance-wise.. she's simply mundane, to be honest.

5. What are their greatest regrets? Never searching for her birth family. Shying away from conversation about her mysterious past. Honestly, Caoilainn is not the type of person to regret her actions.

6. What are their habits (good & bad): She enjoys chasing a story; she's a budding reporter. She adores reading. Her investigations tend to land Caoilainn in tremendous amounts of trouble.

7. What are the significant events in their life: Past - She has no memory of her life before she was seven; she was adopted by a kind family in a small, Irish town. Present - She is connected to the apparent suicides of her friends. Caoilainn is deciphering the suicides which she sees as murders. However, her town seem sure they are suicides. Future - She is dragged further into the investigation of the suicides. This puts herself and her friends into life-threatening danger.

8. Greatest ability: Caoilainn is manipulative. She has a gift with words. She's persuasive. She's intelligent.

9. To others, they are known as being...? Single-minded, obnoxious, stubborn, intelligent, persuasive.

10. They spend most of their time worrying about...? If she can get her story.

11. Describe their mother: Kind, caring, considerate, warm, respectful.

12. Describe their father: Respectful, open, sweet, stubborn, caring, considerate.

13. Describe their (if any) siblings: None

14. Has your character ever hurt others (mentally &/or physically): She hasn't hurt someone physically. But, she is capable of it. Very capable. She has hurt people mentally with her words.

15. Best/closest friend/s: Jacob Caravel, followed by Ronnie O' Brien, Dean Holloway and soon Ellen O' Neill.

16. Lover/s & their history: She has never had a serious relationship.

17. Describe where they live: Caoilainn lives in a small town, Inistioge, in Ireland. The town is home to ancient buildings, open meadows and tranquil rivers and lakes. Inistioge is a close-minded town and tight community.

18. If they could change the past... Occasionally, Caoilainn wishes she had a memory of her early life. Also, she wishes (on rare occasions) that she was never found in the blizzard by Tom and Sam, her adoptive parents.

19. Describe their clothing style: Her clothing style would be indie with a touch of rocker. Her attire consists mainly of skinny jeans, t-shirts, tank tops, biker boots, converse, hoodies, leather jackets and cardigans.

20. Are they going to learn anything from their experiences: Yes, Caoilainn is going to discover who she truly is.

21. Any other important details: The genre is mystery/suspense. It has a rating of PG - PG-13.

Last but not least, is @Wednesday92’s character profile for her protagonist, Allison Hamilton in her story, ‘Rhymes with Mothertucker’

1. Character name: Allison Hamilton (haha I almost forgot)

2. Character description: Reddish brown hair, 18, light green, fair-skin, a few freckles, around 5’7”, small frame, and medium length hair (so around shoulders)

3. Define their childhood: Grew up as an only child in the outskirts of town so she really didn’t have too many friends until Caroline came along. She got into sports at an early age and wanted to play little league football when she was ten but the coach wouldn’t let her play. She eventually got into softball and has been playing up until high school.

4. What are their flaws? Allison tends to feel self-conscious about herself especially when she compares herself to Caroline, her best friend, who has boobs and a curvy body. She also can be too sarcastic sometimes as a way of hiding her insecurities. She can be little negative but not an outright negative Nancy.

5. What are their greatest regrets? Her greatest regret so far (as I don’t want to give the story away) is not falling in love with anyone in high school.

6. What are their habits? She has a bad habit of biting her fingernails when she is nervous, being too sarcastic, and being a bit of a downer. Good habits are that she usually picks herself back up fast if something bad happens to her and she takes up for herself.

7. What are the significant events in their life? Past- Prom, as it was the first time she wore makeup, heels and a dress. It was also the first time she ever felt like a girl. Present- Going to Vegas, getting married to a complete stranger, and blowing all her college fund money in one night. Future-Well you will have to read to find out but hint hint: this is romance!!!

8. Greatest ability: Making people laugh (I think, not sure yet)

9. To others, they are known as being...? A bit of a tease, a downer, and/or a fighter

10. They spend most of their time worrying about...? College and what her life is going to be like in 5 years

11. Describe their mother: Mother is very protective, strong, optimistic, and easy-going.

12. Describe their father: Father is very hard-working, strong, forceful, reliant, and also very protective. He is a lawyer and owns his own firm.

13. Describe their (if any) siblings: No siblings

14. Has your character ever hurt others? Most of the time she does it unintentionally but she has said some things towards people that kind of hurt their feelings. She probably will physically hurt Tucker though (and by physically hurt I mean kick his ass)!

15. Best/closest friend/s: Caroline Matthews

16. Lover/s & their history: She doesn’t have any lovers thus far but there will be a few choices in the future

17. Describe where they live: She lives in Bakersfield, CA. A big town with small-minded people. She lives in the outskirts of the town, where there are many trees and mountains. Their house is miles away from anyone else’s so they don’t have neighbours but they have a big back yard with a garden and a swimming pool.

18. If they could change the past... If she could change the past, the only thing she would change is not kicking Gregory Simpson’s ass for putting gum in her hair when they were six. It took months to get back to the length it used to be.

19. Describe their clothing style: She doesn’t have much of a style. She’s a t-shirt and jeans kind of gal.

20. Are they going to learn anything from their experiences? Of course she will learn from the experience: never trust a guy named Tucker or drink twelve shots back to back.

21. Any other important details: She’s witty, pretty average looking without makeup but a knockout when she actually tries to make an effort, and unlike a lot of girls, doesn’t really fall for the ridiculously gorgeous guys. She prefers nerdy looking guys or the brooding Bruce Wayne types.
