*four days later*

A light laugh left my lips in delight, "Oh God. I haven't laughed this much for a while." I speak through laughs, taking a few breaths to calm down. Alice laughed softly back at me.

Alice and I were together out alone, enjoying some caramel and vanilla ice cream in a small local cafe.

I still couldn't believe how myself. She had persuaded Liam into letting us have a day for ourselves because they left and this was our only opportunity.

For now I was doing well, keeping my overthinking at bay, yet all the well a thing bothered me like always.

"Alright, let's go. We have still so much to do." Alice said gleefully once we finished our ice cream, paying quickly and onward to our other adventures, they were not that big stories, the stuff we did were simple things but hilarious and gleeful, she's helping me remain sane, after all that happened I needed a break from everything.

The music in Alice's car was on full volume as we sang loudly.

The day went very good, we did some shopping, explored the city, ate traditional food, even visited a museum then bought more clothes, and at last rented some movies we would watch tonight.

She decided to call Liam and tell him how everything went. She's shouting lightly because of the loud music.

"Right, sorry." Alice spoke and hurriedly turns the volume of her car."Yeah, we're heading home." she rolled her eyes, then hummed listening before frowning. "First off. Tell him to calm the fuck down. Second-" she exclaimed agitated but groaned."You know what? I'm not doing this over the phone." she hung up.

"What's wrong?"

"Zayn found out."

"Oh." I mumble, she sighed then shrugged.

I am not that concerned. I'm just glad Alice had convinced Liam to let us have that day out, either way she would have found a way to get us out.

She blasts the music up again as we sing while driving and at last arrive home.

We quickly put the bags with clothes in our rooms, then some take out food in the living room.

We had changed in our pajamas and stay in silence, Alice had picked a movie but I find myself barely looking at it.

We're half an hour in the movie when she asked, "What's going on with you lately?"

My eyes meet hers, she's frowning. Confused at her I shrug. I guess I'm trying to avoid everything, along with a certain person, which is worse but I do it like a coping mechanism.

"You were so quiet the whole day." she sadly exclaimed.

I didn't thought she would notice, I tried to be as joyful as I could and I laughed quite a lot, though you can pretend only so much until it feels too forced.

"Is it still because of what he said to you?" she knowingly mused.

Of course we talked it through. As I got away from him that day I've furiously told her everything, wanting an honest answer at what I should do which didn't satisfy me in the end because she was somehow not that angry at him since she wants us together.

Despite my attempt not to, my mind wandered to him as I was wondering what he's doing, if he's in danger.. Not often as usual but still enough to invade my free days from him.
