Chapter Fifty-Seven

I wake up, and go down stairs. Mum's cooking breakfast when I enter the kitchen. She smiles at me.

"Sorry." I say to her. "That's okay, Jess. You were going through a tough time." She hugs and goes back to cooking.

"So," I sit on the bench chair. "Do we have plans tonight?" I ask. Mum turns and leans on the bench.

"Yes, actually we do! Chandler's family and Sam are going to come over for dinner tonight."

I smile and go to walk upstairs.

"Hey Mum." I ask. "Yes?" she replies. "Can I please have my phone back?"

Mum opens the draw and gives it to me. I thank her and go upstairs. I phone Chandler.

"I heard your coming over for dinner tonight." I say when he picks up.

"Yeah! It should be good. Listen, Jess, I know you'll probably say no but I was wondering...." Chandler stops.

"What?" I ask softly. "I was wondering if we could give us a second chance." Chandler asks.

I stand up and go over to the wall that has pictures of us three. My fingers brush over the one of Chandler and I laughing.

"Yeah. Let's give us a second chance." I say.
