Icicles For Rain

Your eyes widened as Oka bended a giant wave of boiling hot water from the ocean, the water around him moving irregularly, as if it were trembling.

"We're surrounded by water, Y/N!" Oka cackled, thrusting the massive, boiling wave at you.

You formed a sphere of void around yourself as it came crashing down. "Hiding now, are we?" Oka laughed.

What were you going to do? He could easily burn you and land a hit on you if you came out!

You gasped and smirked. There was a way to get him away from any source of water!

You created a hole in the bottom of the sphere and entered the evacuated city, a plan in your mind. You focused on his location.

"Come out, Y/N! You can't call me weak and then hide like a coward!" Oka grunted, hitting your now empty sphere with whips of water.

Suddenly, you emerged from the base of the dome and began to engulf him in a ball of void. Reacting quickly, he jumped out of the forming cage and wrapped a whip of boiling hot water around your body, lifting you up into the air to slam you into the ocean's surface.

Wincing at the heat, you broke free from his grip and landed on an ice floe, your arms throbbing with pain.

A group of fire benders from the ships you destroyed launched attacks at you, their flames bright and burning hot. You gathered them all in a lasso of void and swung them at Oka like you were swinging a wrecking ball.

He narrowly avoided the attack, but he didn't avoid the whip of void you warped behind him, knocking him down. Once again, you tried to engulf him in the void, when another war balloon flew overhead.

You grit your teeth as fire shot down at you, trapping you in a tall circle of dancing flames. You split the ice floe in two and swam downwards, out of the cage of fire, when a force under the water shoved you further down.

Oka swam towards you with a terrifying grin, heating up the water around your body and increasing its pressure on you.
Your heart drummed faster as you realized he was targeting your fingers, with the heat being strongest there.

You tried to swim away, but the pressure of the water was hitting you on all sides, and your fingers weren't responding as you tried to move them. You couldn't hold your breath long enough, either. Time was draining.

Oka formed a spear of ice and fired it straight at your chest, when you blocked it with a wall of void.

You had taken a lesson from Toph and warped the void with your toes instead of your fingers.

Swimming below him, you concealed your body in a color like that of the water so Oka couldn't see you as easily.
You created walls and a ceiling of void around him, and colored the same way as you were.

But then, he launched all the water upwards and out, moving you along with it. The sound that came from your body hitting one of the walls was loud enough from him to know your location.

He began to slam your body against the walls and ceilings you had warped, weakening you. Your air was running out, when suddenly, he launched the both of you out of the water and onto another, large, ice floe.

You staggered and took deep breaths, narrowing your eyes at him to focus to blurry vision. Why didn't he just let you lose your oxygen? Maybe he knew you'd form an air pocket somehow? No... Being under water gave him an advantage in the fight, so why?

The beams of fire circled you and Oka. He grinned slyly and began to approach you. You grit your teeth and stood up, body aching and fingers still burning.
