First Impressions

No... There's no way! Your mom isn't a water bender! What's going on... What's going on...!? Tears started flowing out your eyes. "Mom... Mom... Where are you...?" You whispered. You knew she wouldn't go down without a fight. If anything, she'd sacrifice herself to save...

You were silent. It finally hit you.
But- But surely she was still alive! Sure, the ship's moving, but you can still save her! Then you heard a voice. "I never thought we'd actually have to kill a water bender. But, what has to be done was done! There's nothing stopping us now." The voice was getting louder. The monster which took away your mother was getting closer.

You were hyperventilating, your heart was beating out of your chest. It seemed like everything slowed down and colors were flying across your vision. You weren't around any fire benders, but you felt as if you were being burnt alive. And if you didn't hide, you would be.

You ran and hid underneath a table, close to the place the soldiers would enter from. "Everything is in place. No Avatar, no more air benders, no more water benders. At least, none in that dump." They walked further into the room, and you dashed outside while the door was still slightly open. You held your breath and leaned against a wall. "Did you hear anything just now?", "With these helmets on? You probably heard your own footsteps echoing or something."

They were gone. As the boat drifted farther away from your home, you were more and more stressed. You needed a place to hide, since at that rate, if you tried exiting the same way you came in, you'd end up with void burn all over your body. A burn on your arms was bad enough.

You let out a shaky breath, and continued moving through the ship. You eventually found a dark room which seemed to be unused. There were cells on the inside. If they hadn't killed your mother... She'd be here.

Gently shutting the door, you crawled beside a cell which was farthest from the door. You laid down
on the floor, and let out all your emotions as quietly as possible.

Your anger... Your sorrow... Your fear...

If you didn't want to die, you'd have to put them aside.

You weren't with your family anymore. Sokka... Katara... Gran-gran... Your mom... Your dad...

You looked down at your mother's necklace. It was as if it was left just for you. The only thing you had to remember her. "Hey, mom... Right now, I... I feel so lost... I feel... So scared... I'm away from home... I've lost my family again... I've lost you..." You let out a soft sob, "I remember how... How you told me I had a beautiful smile... But right now, I... I can't even make the tiniest grin. I can't do it with you guys..." The tears from your eyes fell onto the uncomfortable and unfamiliar metal floor. "...I miss you, mommy..." Your petite frame shivered. You felt so small... And the world felt so large. They towered over you, surrounded you, it was suffocating. "I love you..." You shut your eyes and fell unconscious.

You felt the ship stop.
You were probably in the fire nation by now. You were going to be killed. "Calm down, Y/N, calm down... You have to think." You whispered to yourself. You put your mother necklace around your wrist, underneath your glove. "I can't do what I did before. I passed out... I don't know where to go... I'm going to be attacked. So I have to protect myself. I have to find my way back home somehow. But in the meantime... I need to clear my head. If I can't think straight, I'll burn myself. And those purple veins that I got... I don't know what they do, but it might be a bad sign. I'll have to find a way to recharge my energy. I could almost fly when I warped the void into a weird sphere. So if I flew away, I could recharge and attack again.

You took a deep breath. In, and out. In, and out. "I won't kill anyone. But I'll teach them a lesson."

You snuck through the halls, searching for anyone you had to avoid. You didn't see anybody, which only put you more on edge. "Calm down, Y/N... It's gonna be okay." You assumed that everyone was either gathered somewhere, or they saw you when you entered and are waiting to sneak up on you and-

...Calm down. Everything will be okay.

You found the exit of the ship, but still didn't see anyone. "Maybe they've already left the ship and I'm at a dock or something..." You whispered. You opened the do- "A STOWAWAY!" You were apprehended by a soldier. "Wh- Who is that!?", "I knew I heard someone!"

You began to sweat. You didn't expect this. "It's a little girl. What's a snow savage doing in your ship!?" The soldier asked. "YOU'RE CALLING ME THE SAVAGE?! LET ME GO!" You screamed and struggled, but the man was too strong. You panted, trying to get out of his grip. You twisted and turned, but it was all in vain.

"Huh. A water tribe peasant. Could it be...! You tried to save that water bender!" A man walked towards you. Every other person made a weird hand gesture to him. "Captain Zhao!" They exclaimed. "You said it was an older woman, yes? So perhaps..." Zhao walked towards you and kneeled down to your level. "You thought you'd rescue your mother? Based on your facial expression, I'd say you know she's dead. That makes things a lot easier for me, you know?"

"SHUT YOUR MOUTH YOU DIRTY-" The man holding you tightened his grip. "NGH!" Zhao stood up and turned his back to you. "Execute her."
"I WON'T DIE TO A MONSTER LIKE YOU!" You hit the man holding you and made him fall to the ground. You didn't try to control your power, but you didn't care. His helmet would protect him anyway. You made a wave of void matter and hit the soldiers on your left and right. Zhao got into a fighting stance and sent flames your way, but-

You easily blocked them. "You... As if I would lose to you. I hope you saw her burn." You didn't respond to his words. Instead you sent a spear of void hurling towards his heart. A few soldiers got up. You couldn't make a ball of void to protect yourself, you'd die! "FIRE!" They all sent flames towards you. You shut your eyes.
"Stop." An elderly man stepped into the docks. "Firelord Azulon!" Everyone bowed down. You froze. The man who ordered all of the horrible things in the world to happen... Was right in front of you.

"Take her to the throne room."
Before you could react, Zhao sent a fireball towards your feet. You fell over, and tried to land an attack on the soldiers surrounding you, but- There were to many coming at you at once. One managed to land a blow to your neck, and you blacked out.
