Aang and Toph began to argue, "How could you let them take Appa!? Why didn't you stop them!?"
"I couldn't! The library was sinking, you guys were still inside and-"

Aang took a step towards Toph, enraged. "You could've come to get us! I could've saved him!" Toph looked in Aang's direction, "I can hardly feel any vibrations out here! The sandbenders snuck up on me and there wasn't any time for-"

"You just didn't care!" Anger and fear merged into an expression you never knew Aang could make. "You never liked Appa, you wanted him gone!"

Katara stepped in, trying to calm everyone down. It didn't work. Aang flew off using his glider, deciding to search for Appa on his own.

"We'd better start walking. We need to get the info about the solar eclipse to Ba Sing Se." You stood up, looking up to the sky. You should've said something.

...You just hoped that he was okay.

"Ugh... Katara? Can I have some more water? I'm boiling over here." Toph said. You created a cool coating of void for everyone as Katara divided the water amongst you. "I'm not thirsty, you should save that water." You muttered, rubbing your forehead.

You had used up a portion of your energy fighting Wan Shi Tong, and maintaining the cold temperature of the void was going to be difficult. But you had to do it. You had to be worth something.

"Oh... Alright." Katara gave you an odd look, giving the rest of the water to Toph,  Sokka, and Momo. "We're drinking your bending water?" Sokka aggressively smacked his lucious lips, "Urch! You used this on the swamp guys!"

"It definitely tastes... Swampy." Toph hummed, shuddering as she swallowed the water. "I'm sorry, it's all we have." Katara sighed, putting a cork into her water pouch. "Not anymore! Look!"

Sokka skipped over to a cactus, slicing it open with his machete and chugging it down. "Sokka wait! You shouldn't be eating strange plants!" Katara exclaimed. "There's water trapped in these! It's super thirst quenching!"

Suddenly, Sokka's head began to shake. His eyes went wide as he started to mumble and shake with a creepy grin.
"Great. We're stuck in a desert and now my brother is high." You whispered. You were starting to feel annoyed at everything, but you knew you had to keep your composure. "Come on, Sokka. We need to stick together."

You pulled him back to the group. "HELP! I'M BEING ARRESTED BY THE FIRE NATION!" He cried. "You've had way too much of that juice..." Katara poured out all the liquid inside the piece of cactus and tossed it aside, "Let's go. We need to find Aang."

"What is that?" Katara said.
"What? What is what?" Toph asked, confused. You stared at the massive mushroom dust cloud as it shot upwards through the sky. "It's a giant... Mushroom! MAYBE IT'S FRIENDLY!"
"Let's just keep moving. I hope Aang's okay..." Katara sighed.

"Maybe I could find him..." You said. Your idea was quickly shot down by Katara.  "No. You fought Wan Shi Tong not too long ago, and you're helping us out by keeping us cool. Right now, we need to keep as much energy as we can."

"You don't have to do this alone." You began to focus, but Katara immediately stopped you. "Y/N, it's fine. I'm sure Aang will come back soon enough. What matters is that you have enough energy for us to get out of here." She gave you a smile. That was wrong. You didn't matter.

The was setting, the temperature dropped, and you were able to take a break from bending. A shadow flew above you. You glanced to your left to see Aang, who was clearly still frustrated and upset. Katara placed her hand on his shoulder, muttering to him.
