Confrontation

You were starting to get annoyed.

Anytime you entered the same room as Zuko, he would immediately finish whatever he was doing and leave. Anytime you tried to talk to him, he'd find a reason to talk to someone else.
If you were about to turn the corner and run into him, he'd probably do a whole dance routine to avoid you.

"Ugh, it's like I'm a ghost to him!" You groaned. The only person who ever actually talked to you was Iroh. That's it. And while it was nice to have your peace and quiet, it was also extremely annoying when the one person you seriously wanted to talk to would literally cast a magic spell to go up, up, and away!

You knew you probably wouldn't get another chance to talk to him during the day, mainly because of the ship's  repair. You walked through the dark, red, narrow hallways, thinking of a way to talk to Zuko. "...!" You looked up to see the man himself, standing in front of you.

"...Get out of my way." He gave you a cold look. You furrowed your eyebrows in frustration. "Why are you acting like this, Zu-" Before you could finish your sentence, he cut you off. "Prince Zuko. Don't talk to me like we're close." He said, glaring at you.
You scoffed in disbelief as he pushed past you.

"What's wrong with you!?" You exclaimed. He stopped walking away, his back still facing you. "Did every moment we had together mean nothing to you!?" You yelled. "Well, it CLEARLY meant nothing to you!" Zuko shouted, turning around to face you. "What are you even talking about!?" You asked, clenching your fists. "You ABANDONED me, Y/N! Don't act like you didn't!" Zuko declared. You looked at him in surprise. "Do you really think... I wanted to leave you?" You whispered, saddened by his words. "I..." He stared at you for a moment, unsure of what to say or what he felt.

"You know I was separated from my family. What was I supposed to do...? Forget about them?" You questioned. He opened his mouth to say something, but the words didn't come out. He turned away from you. "Zuko-" You reached out to him, but he caught your wrist and pushed it aside.

"You... You're a traitor to the Fire Nation. My father... Wouldn't lie to me." He muttered, walking off. You clutched your black and white necklace, shutting your eyes.

You never wanted to abandon him. You had to leave the Fire Nation, otherwise, you'd become a weapon for Ozai. It was either you leave Zuko or leave your family and become a tool. It wasn't your fault. But you couldn't blame Zuko for feeling the way he did.

Letting out a shaky breath, you entered the spare room given to you, and sat down on the bed. You took the plastic butter-fly out of your glove and stared down at it. "I didn't want to abandon anyone..." You mumbled.

Everything will turn out okay. You hoped.

"Excuse me? We've arrived in Ketu Harbor, miss." A man knocked on your door. "Alright. Thanks for the heads up." You said, hopping off your bed. "I was ordered to give you these clothes. Please put them on quickly." The man said as you opened the door. You nodded and took the clothing. It was a soldier uniform. "I hope this isn't permanent..." You sighed, putting then on.

You and the other guards waited near the exit of the ship. The soldiers were all talking amongst their selves, while you were listening in on what was going on with Iroh and Zuko.

"Once word gets out that he's alive, every firebender will be out looking for him, and I don't want anyone in the way!" Zuko said. "Getting in the way of what, Prince Zuko?" A man walked over to Zuko and Iroh, one with a familiar voice.

"Captain Zhao." Zuko huffed, crossing his arms. Your eyes widened as you heard that name. Zhao? He's there!? A frown formed on your face as you recalled the things he said to you.
