You did, in fact, begin creating fifty different pictures of butter-flies, and somehow managed to fit thirty of them underneath your hat. As you began to cut out the butter-flies, an idea entered your head. The woman, Ursa, who asked you to befriend her daughter. After meeting Azula, you weren't so sure you could do it. But you were afraid of what could happen when she grew up... And what she might try to do to the other nations.

You didn't owe anything to Ursa, but you could tell she wasn't happy here. Just like you. So, you decided you'd try to befriend Azula. But if she did anything to hurt you, you would avoid her like the plague. "How are you doing that so quickly...?" Zuko asked, approaching you. You were bending void in the shape of your pictures. "Guess I've gotten pretty good at doing this." You shrugged. "Say, your sister, Azula. What's she like?"

"You know what she's like. She might be kind of passive-aggresive, aggressive in general, distrusting, spiteful, and do awful things if it benefits her, but... She's my sister, y'know? I've tried calling her out to make her more aware of her bad actions, but she seems to... To take pleasure from the fact other people fear her. And honestly, I think it's because she believes no one wo- Are you writing that down!?" You held up a sheet of paper with a smile on your face. "Yup! Don't mind me, just answer a few of my questions. Now, does Azula have anyone she considers to be her friends? People who care about her without fearing death every second they breathe around her?"

"...Yes, actually. And I'm pretty sure I know where you can find them, if you want to meet them."

"Oh gosh..." You whispered, terrified.
"Y/N? Are you alright?" Zuko asked, placing a hand on your shoulder. "Zuko...."

"EW. PEOPLE." You shuddered at the thought of interacting with other homosapiens.

"Yay! People!" A girl with brown hair cartwheeled over to you, grinning. "I've never seen you before... My name is Ty Lee! Who are you?" Ty Lee asked, doing a handstand. You stared at her in shock, frozen. "Um... Is she okay?" Ty Lee mumbled, glancing at Zuko, who shrugged in response. "You're... You're so wholesome-" You took a moment to clear your throat. "My name is Y/N. It's nice to meet you." You smiled. How did Azula and her become friends? She's probably a good influence on her... Hopefully.

"Y/N... That's a really nice name! And, um, thank you for the compliment!" She replied, giggling. "Hey, what's that underneath your hat?" She inquired, doing a front flip and landing perfectly on her feet. "Oh, this? It's a butter-fly. You can have it if you want." You placed one in the palm of her hand. "Woah... A butterfly! This is a really nice picture!" Ty Lee beamed. "Thank y-... Wait, what's a butterfly? I drew a butter-fly."

"Yeah! That's why I called it a butterfly." Ty Lee explained. "But... You said butterfly. Not... Butter-fly." You retorted. "Oh, so you drew a butter-fly. Got it!"
"Yeah, cool that you know what I meant, but what's a butterfly?" You quizzed. "You don't know what a butterfly is?" Ty Lee raised an eyebrow. "No? Is that even a thing?" You rubbed the back of your neck, awkwardly chuckling. "I've never heard of a butterfly. Only butter-flies." Zuko stated. "You two have never seen a butterfly...?" Ty Lee muttered, shocked. You both shook your heads. "Actually... What is a butterfly? I think my brain just made that up. Butterflies don't exist. Neither does that one Avatar movie." Ty Lee hummed. ...Avatar movie? There's no such thing as that.

"Y'know, you seem like a really nice girl, Y/N! You should hang out with us sometime!" Ty Lee smiled. "Us?" You repeated. "Oh, you haven't met Mai or Azula yet? I'll go get Azula, I'm sure she'd be excited to meet a new person! Maybe!" Ty Lee dragged you over to a girl with dark hair who was sitting behind a tree, playing with the grass. "So you're Y/N... The space bender." She sighed. "That's me. And... Your name is Mai, right?" The girl, Mai, nodded. "Ty Lee seems to like you, so I just wanted to make sure I told you that... If you hurt her, or make her upset, I will stab you."

"You care about her a lot, huh?" You smiled, sitting down beside her. "What of it?" She replied, glaring at you. "N-Nothing! I just think it's sweet." You were glad to know that there were a few people in the Fire Nation who weren't completely crazy about genocide and war. "..." The two of you sat in silence for a moment. "You're not going to... Say anything?" Mai questioned. "Small talk is awkward." You sighed, crossing your arms. "Preach."

You noticed Mai was in a trance, staring at something... No, someone. She was staring at Zuko. "...Do you like Zuko?" Mai asked, turning to face you. "Huh!? I was going to ask you that...," You mumbled, "Why would you ask me something like that?"

"You made a weird face when you noticed I was looking at him." She stated. "Uh... I was exercising my face... Muscle... Things?" You said, scratching your head. "Y'know, if it were any other person, I'd stab you."
You began to sweat. "But, Ty Lee wants to be your friend... or something." You began to smile.
"Shouldn't it be his choice?" You muttered, putting your index finger to your chin. Mai gave you a look of confusion. "He should decide who he loves." Mai paused for a moment.
"So you do like him."
"I-I never said that!"

"Well... You're right. Don't make me regret not stabbing you. You owe me." Mai scoffed. "Oh! I know how to pay you back!" You took a paper butter-fly out of your hat and placed it in Mai's hand. "..." She gave you a small smile, "I'm gonna need a lot more than this."

You dumped the remaining sixty butter-flies onto the grass beside her.

"...I'm... Concerned, but... I guess I'll take these as a token of your gratitude...?" Mai chuckled. "Glad to hear it." You smiled.

"You're really weird." Mai sighed.
"At least I'm not a gremlin." You let out a smirk as you heard Zuko groaning in frustration.
