"Ngh..." You placed a hand to your forehead, groaning. "So... You're finally awake." You looked up to see someone standing in the doorway. It was Sokka. "..." You were home. You were finally home... "I... I- I'm so sorry..." You whispered. "Hey, there's nothing you have to apologize for. Nothing that happened is your fault!" Sokka said. You glanced at the ground and bit your thumb. Sokka was wrong. You were the one who went on that ship.

You... You were the one who started all those things. If you hadn't gone on that stupid ship, you wouldn't have been in the Fire Nation. If you had done things differently, you wouldn't have to feel guilty. Guilty... For leaving Zuko.

"...You look stressed... Oh! Katara and Gran-gran are making sea prunes! I bet that would lift your mood!" Sokka grinned. You let out a soft chuckle. "Hey... My outfit is different now!" You realized. "Pssh. Of course you notice that first." Sokka sighed. You raised an eyebrow at his words. "What? Girls are always obsessed with things like that, right?" You crossed your arms and scoffed. "And it seems like all guys are serious pricks." You stated.
A small smile grew on your face as you thought back to the way Zuko would react when you called him that.

"..." You clenched your blanket and let out a soft sigh. Then you realized you had lost something. "The butter-fly!" You hopped out of bed. "Butter-fly? What butter-fly?" Sokka quizzed. "The one I had under my hat! It's important!" You exclaimed. "Geez, calm down! Look behind you, woman!" You turned around to see a pile of dirty clothes. "...You put... My stuff... In that?" You whispered, flabbergasted. "Yup. It's a shame, really. My stuff is way better than that Fire Nation garbage."

You walked towards the pile, scared to touch it with your fingers. Then, you noticed a boomerang lying on what you assumed to be Sokka's bed. "Woah woah woah, what are you-" You used it to move all the nasty clothes and grabbed the necklace the old woman, Saiyaka, gave you, along with the butter-fly.

"BABY NOOOO!!" Sokka snatched his boomerang from you and held it close to his heart. "Don't worry, man. She won't hurt you. I won't let her." You scoffed at his comment. "Please, do worry. I will hurt you, and probably break Sokka's ankles while I'm at it."
Sokka let out an exaggerated gasp as you raised a hand to your neck and pretend to snap it. Chuckling, you exited the room.

"...!" Gran-gran stared up at you in shock. "Y/N, my dear... You've grown so much...!" She beamed, placing a hand on your shoulder. "Gran-gran, it's only been a year! I've probably only grown by an inch!" You smiled. "Without you here, that year felt far longer." She sighed. "Gran-gran..." You gave her a hug. "Let's hope your stomach has grown as well!" She laughed, letting you go and walking away, most likely to check on the food.

As she left the room, a person entered it. "Y/N...!" Katara ran towards you and gave you a bear hug. "Oh geez my spine!" You cried. "Screw your spine, I'm hugging you, whether you like it or not!" She exclaimed. She let you go with tears in her eyes. "Gosh, I've missed you so much, Y/N..." She muttered. "I've missed you all, too..." You mumbled. "You don't get it, Y/N. We thought... We thought you had died."

You glanced at the ground. "...I'm sorry." You whispered. "Don't apologize. Right now, I'm just glad to have you back." Katara smiled.
"Oh, that reminds me..." Her smile became a grin, "You still owe me a ton of food." You nervously laughed and began to speed walk away from Katara. "Come back here, Y/N!"

It was nighttime, and Sokka was already snoring louder than you could scream. However, you and Katara were wide awake. Why? Ask Sokka's snoring. "Hey, Y/N?" Katara walked over to your bedside. You let out a hum. "Why do you care so much about that plastic butter-fly, and that weird black and white necklace? Those things came from the Fire Nation, right?"

You froze. What were you supposed to say? Would... Would she believe you if you told her the truth? Would she get angry? She definitely would. If you told her you got something for the prince of the Fire Nation, the prince of the nation that took away your mother...

"It's... a long story. I... I don't think I should talk about it." You said, turning your back to her. "Oh... That's alright." She stood up and began to walk towards her bed, when she suddenly stopped. "...How about... Your bending?" She asked. "Ah, I've... Improved. Maybe I can show you what I've learned!" You smiled. Katara let out an excited gasp. "R-Really?" She exclaimed. "Yeah! Tomorrow." You heard her let out a groan and stomp into her bed. "Oh, and Y/N? You better use your bending to stop any ash makers from kidnapping you again. Like we used to say... Siblings stick together." Katara said, laying down.

"...Right. Good night, Katara. Good night, Sokka."

Good night, Zuko.
