"Guys, someone's at the door!" Toph's eyes lit up, "Sweet! It's them!"

"Them? So it's not Katara? Man, if Y/N were here, I bet she'd use her wacky, stupid space-y powers to find her or something." Sokka sighed.

Toph opened the door, and to Sokka's delight, you were there.

You furrowed your eyebrows, noting Katara's absence.

He gasped with joy and patted your back with a smirk, "The universe doesn't hate me! Hey, sis! Lovely seeing you again! Do you have any idea where Ka-"

Sokka noticed Iroh in the corner of his eye, and all the joy practically evaporated off of him.

"Nevermind. The universe hates me." He dragged you into the house and glared at Iroh. Both him and Aang took on a fighting stance.

"Nice seeing you again, guys! How have you been?" Toph grinned.

"Wait, you guys know each other?" Aang questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"I met him in the woods once and knocked him down." Toph awkwardly laughed, giving you a high-five, "Then he gave me some tea and some very good advice."

As Aang, Toph, and Iroh talked, Sokka turned to you with concern.

"Y/N, I know I just heard Toph say that guy was apparently nice and whatever, but you should still be careful around-"

You interrupted him, "Sokka, there's no time to worry about that. Azula is here, and I have a feeling she might be part of the reason Katara's not here."

"...Don't be like that, Y/N. You're hiding something." Sokka muttered, narrowing his eyes at you.

"Then we'll work together to fight Azula, and save Katara and Zuko." Aang stated.

"Woah there! You lost me at Zuko, Aang." Sokka said.

You pinched the bridge of your nose, sighing.

"I understand how you must feel about my nephew, but believe me when I tell you that there is good inside him." Iroh hummed.

"Good inside him isn't enough! Why don't you come back when it's outside him too, okay?" Sokka exclaimed.

"Katara's in trouble. All of Ba Sing Se is in trouble. Working together is our best chance!" Aang declared.

"I brought someone along who might help us." Iroh said.

Sokka glanced at you with concern. He noticed the fact that your necklace and old gloves were missing.

He looked away from you, somewhat agitated.

Ever since you came back from the Fire Nation, you leaned more towards solitude.

He wanted to know what was making you upset, but you never really opened up to him about those things. Instead, he'd find himself doing that to you.

Needless to say, he wanted to try mending things with you.

"Y/N-"

You cut him off, "Not right now, Sokka. We need to find Katara and Zuko."

He grunted in frustration, "You're right, but Y/N, you're gonna listen to me, whether you like it or not! I'm your older brother, so what I say-"

Warping the space around you, you flicked him on the forehead and scoffed. "You're fifteen. I'm fifteen. Our words hold equal power!"

"Y/N, I'm still older than you by months! Anyway, that's not the point of this conversation. Why don't you ever tell me anything about what's going on with you?" Sokka blinked repeatedly, fluttering his eyelashes, "Your bwig bwother cares vewy much."
