You and Zuko arrived at the Western Air Temple, setting up camp in a forested area.
He was trying to plan what to say when he met Toph, Aang, and your siblings, so you acted as his audience while he practiced.
"Hello... Zuko here, uh, but I guess you already know me, sort of. Uh... So, the thing is, I have a lot of firebending experience, and I'm considered to be pretty good at it." He said.
You gave him a tilted thumbs up, nodding.
Zuko smiled, "Yeah! I mean, you've seen me, you know, when I was attacking you..." His smile dropped and so did your thumbs up.
"Uhh, yeah, I guess I should apologize for that. But anyway, I'm good now." Zuko stated, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Prove it! Tell me about some good things you've done!" You said, imitating Sokka's voice.
"I, uh, freed the Avatar's bison when I could've captured it. And I saved Y/N, too. I thought I was good before, but I realize I was bad." Zuko sighed,
"But, anyway, I think it's time I joined your group and taught the Avatar firebending."
He cleared his throat, "So, what's your answer?"
"You want me to be one hundred percent honest?" You asked, a worried smile on your face, "Because Katara and Sokka probably would've attacked you from the get go."
Zuko groaned, "Probably... What would Uncle do?"
He began to imitate his Uncle, stroking an imaginary beard,
"Zuko, You have to look within yourself to save yourself from your other self. Only then will your true self reveal itself."
You snorted, "You sound like a lazy fanfic writer trying to extend their wordcount."
"...Huh?"
"Nothing, nothing."
Zuko hummed in thought, "What would Azula do?"
"Woah, if you do anything Azula would do, it end up biting you in your hot-crossed buns." You said.
"Yeah... I guess I'm pretty bad at impersonations." Zuko laughed softly, face-palming.
"Let's keep practicing, okay? This is going to be hard for me, too." You muttered.
Zuko shook his head, embarrassed, "Hard to watch, more like it."

"Hello, Zuko here." Zuko said, waving.
Immediately, everyone got in a fighting stance.
"Hey, I heard you guys flying around down there, so, I just thought I'd wait for you here." He explained.
Appa made a happy noise and licked Zuko, recognizing him from Ba Sing Se.
Aang loosened up a small bit, confused by Appa's reaction.
"I, uh, know you must be surprised to see me here-"
"No, not really, since you followed us all over the world." Sokka retorted, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Right, well, uh, anyway... What I wanted to tell you is that I've changed, and, uh, I'm good now. And well, I think I should join your group, oh, and I can teach you firebending." Zuko said.
Everyone looked shocked to hear those words.
"You want to what now?" Toph questioned.
"You can't possibly think that any of us would trust you, can you? I mean, how stupid do you think we are?" Katara gave Zuko a glare of nothing but pure hatred.
"Yeah, all you've done is hunt us down and try to capture Aang!" Sokka yelled.
You were listening to everything from afar, focusing on the conversation. Pulling yourself together, you began to walk towards Zuko and the "gaang."
