Icicles For Rain

Something was off.

You had spent your time training and waiting for Oka to arrive, when you saw something in the distance. Something massive.

It was a fleet of Fire Nation ships speeding forward on the horizon, the sky turning a deep, burning orange. Oka had arrived.

The flags mounted on the cruisers danced in the wind as they approached, basking in the light of the comet.

You formed a protective dome around the North Pole with your void and leapt onto it, trying to see just how many ships were there.

Surprisingly, there were only about ten ships and five war balloons. But, as if reminding you of their heightened power, they launched terrific blast of fire at the dome you had made.

The heat was incredible and terrifying at the same time. You jumped out of their line of fire and slashed the ships in half with a quick slice of ebony and plunged spears of void into the hearts of the war balloons. It was too simple.

"Good morning, Y/N," Oka called out to you, hopping off the deck of a ship just as it got destroyed, "Or should I say afternoon? It looks pretty late into the day, doesn't it?"

"I recommend you leave." You hummed, narrowing your eyes at him.

"With what ships? You cut them clean in half, Y/N!" Oka laughed.

You shrugged, "Maybe you should take a nice, cool swim. It'd be a lot less of a hassle for me if you drowned."

"Yes, it would be, wouldn't it?" Oka sauntered over to the base of your dome, unable to see anything behind the dark void. "They deserve this."

"No, they don't. No one should die because you believe the Fire Nation is some legendary thing that everyone should worship! You're insane, and you know it." You retorted.

"That's not what I think at all, actually." Oka sighed, "It's just... Some things are too weak. Too pathetic. Too... Undeserving of life." He then looked up at you, "But you're strong. Physically, I mean."

You glowered at him, "You're the one who's pathetic. Trying to wipe out a whole group of people like this isn't a sign of strength, but of madness."

Oka cackled and crossed his arms, looking up at you with a strange expression, "I've said it before, Y/N. I'm insane."

"Well, guess what, crazy? The North Pole has been evacuated. No one is left inside for you to harm." You announced.

A low hum came from Oka, his eyes darkening. "Of course. Of course. Wonderful."

You quirked an eyebrow at his words, expecting a snarky comment. He was going to pull something—You could sense it.

A whirl of boiling hot water shot straight at you. You leapt backwards to dodge the attack and threw sharps discs at void at him, carefully approaching.

Making a circular motion with his arms, Oka gathered the discs in a ball of water and launched them back towards you, leaping onto the dome of void.

Ducking, you made a claw shape with your fingers and tried to sink him into the void, when three firebenders surrounded the two of you, blasting flames in your direction. Unfortunately,  your wings got hit.

You jumped upwards and swept them back and down to the base of the dome, hitting the firebenders so hard they skidded along the water like little stones.

"This fight is between you and I, Oka!" You grunted, preparing another attack.

"I don't play fair, sweetheart." He chuckled darkly, "Ooh, sending me back into the water, hmm? Trying to claim the high ground?"
