Heads up! This chapter is a short one! I apologize, but I really had to use that title pun.
"So now you, the Water Tribe peasant, are trying to take my friends away from me?" Azula entered the courtyard and stood over you. "I, the Water Tribe space bender, am trying to interact with other human beings." You shivered at your own words. "No matter who your friends talk to, they'll always care about you, as long as you care about them."
"Azula, Y/N didn't do anything wrong!" Ty Lee exclaimed, placing a hand on Azula's shoulder. "So you're saying I'm wrong? That, somehow, I'm incorrect? That this- This peasant is better than me!? Who's side are you on, Ty Lee?" Azula huffed. "I shouldn't have to pick sides! Both of you are my-", "Your what!?"
You stood between Azula and Ty Lee. "Please, calm down. All I did was introduce myself." You stated, looking Azula in the eyes. "Then what? You'd try to replace me! You're nothing compared to me... You won't even fight!" Azula gnarled. You took a step back. "I don't intend to battle someone when it's not necessary. I don't have fight you just because you want it. And trust me, if I did try to hurt you, it would hurt. Badly." You explained. "Prove it, then. I'll make you fight me. I'll make you fear me."
Azula smirked.
She launched several attacks at you all at once, barely giving you a second to dodge. You immediately created a ball of void around you. You shut your eyes as you felt the flames crash against it. But as you opened your eyes, you noticed something strange. You were in an unfamiliar dark room. You couldn't see where the ground and sky met, or any people around you. However, you did see... A woman kneeling down on the floor.
She wore a grey cloak over her shoulders and had long, straight, soft, blue hair.
Hesitantly, you approached her. "W-Who are you? And where am I?" You questioned. "..." The woman stood up, turning to you. You could see her a bit clearer. She had a long, gorgeous white gown on, and for some reason, her face was covered with belts. You could only see her mouth and a part of her nose. She also had a necklace in the shape of two crescents. One white, one black. She took a step forward, and you instinctively took one back.
"Do not be afraid, little one. For I know you, and you know me." She smiled. "Um, no, I don't know you. What is this place?" You crossed your arms, not trusting the woman. "Wow. What an unsavory attitude." She chuckled. "Hey! I'm sorry that I'm suspicious of the random woman in white with belts over her face that's speaking in weird parables." You said.
She cringed at your words. "Please... Do not ever call me that." She whispered. You raised an eyebrow. "Call you what?" You asked.
"The woman in white. That name belongs to a horrible, horrible person." Clearing her throat, the woman continued. "I do not believe knowing my name is necessary, but if it would calm you down..."
"I am Lso Enoette. The original void bender." Your eyes widened. You opened your mouth, but didn't know what to say. "Right now, you are in quite the predicament. You do not wish to harm the child attacking you, correct?" Lso questioned. You shook your head.
"Then allow me to help you. I know more than you when it comes to this ability. For you have only begun to master creation, whereas I have mastered destruction and time. Would you be interested in my help?" Lso asked. She had a soft smile plastered on her face and gave you a hand.
"..." You nervously placed your hand in hers. "Very well then." The belts on her face fell off to reveal dark, empty eyes. All of a sudden, you felt a rush of energy enter your body.
You were back in the courtyard, but you could feel Lso's presence. It was as if the two of you were sharing a body. Void dripped out of your eyes like tears, and the purple cracks you had seen when you first successfully void bended formed along your body, going all the way up to your face. A bright purple light emitted from the cracks and out of your eyes, and before you knew it, you were making dozens of hand signs per second.
No... It wasn't you. It was Lso.
Lso wrapped Azula with chains of void and solidified it, all with a few hand signs and movements, within five seconds.
"That is definitely not the only thing I can do." Lso stated. "...How interesting..." Azula sent more flames your way, but you and Lso dodged them all with ease. Tying her hands behind her back, Lso had effectively immobilized Azula.
"That... Power..." Azula whispered. "..." You stared at her for a moment, and directed your gaze to Ty Lee and Mai. "I think you should talk to your friends and try to resolve this situation peacefully. The only reason your actual friends would want to replace you... Is if you hurt them, or if you're better off apart. Remember that. Friendship and bonds...", You placed your hand on your mother's necklace, "Can go a long way. Longer than hatred and distrust." Azula was released from her cage.
You felt Lso's presence slowly leave your body.
You placed a hand to your forehead, tired. "Y/N...!" You fell backwards, but thankfully, Zuko caught you. "Let's head back inside, Y/N..."
