You were all looking for a place to camp, when you came across a nice, small forest, beautifully lit by the sunset. You smiled at the sight, but your joy quickly vanished when a clump of Appa's fur smacked you in the face.
"Pftpfbt!" You spat his fur out of your mouth, choking. "Now you know what it feels like!" Sokka laughed, before getting smacked by some of Appa's fur as well.
Appa landed on the ground, still shedding. "Oh, gross...!" Katara muttered, careful to avoid Appa's luscious locks. "It's not gross." You glanced at Aang, who was sitting down with a bluebird on his head, peacefully meditating. "It's just a part of spring! Y'know, rebirth, flowers blooming, and Appa getting a new coat!"
"Ah, the beauty of spring." Katara scoffed. Appa sneezed, covering you with a fancy fur coat of your own. It matched your outfit perfectly. "Agh! Appa, stop!" Katara begged.
"It's not that bad, Katara. It makes a great wig!" Sokka exclaimed, patting his head. "And a great beard!" Aang said, comparing his beard with Sokka's hair. "Greetings, my fellow fashioneers." You hummed in a regal voice.
"I'm just glad we've got another girl in the group, because the three of you are dis-GUSTING." Katara sighed, brushing fur off her clothes.
"Excuse me, does anyone have a razor? Because I've got some hairy pits!" Toph waddled up to you, fur stuffed into her sleeves. You all laughed, when Aang suddenly sneezed and launched himself into Appa's leg, blowing all your fur away.
"Aw man..."

It was some time in the evening. You were setting up camp with Sokka, Aang, Katara, and... Somewhat Toph. "I managed to find some fire wood and some nuts. Partially rock, but still a bit of nut." Sokka said, dividing them equally.
"I was setting up the tent and found..." Aang pulled out a stone he was hiding behind his back. "This rock! This one kind of looks like you, Sokka!" The rock had a depressed expression on it's face.
You glanced back at Sokka, and noticed, "Oh hey, it does!"
"Momo and I found a few fruits we could eat. Some of them aren't as ripe as the others, so eat them quickly." You split them into five groups. "Aw man... No meat..." Sokka mumbled, disappointed.
You looked at Katara and Toph. They were having a conversation, but it didn't seem to be going well. You immediately knew what was happening when you saw Toph make her own tent.
Katara angrily walked away from Toph, so you approached her, handing her a few berries. "Everything alright?" You asked. "Yeah. It's fine."
"Y'know, the way you said that makes me think everything is not fine. Talk to me."
Katara shook her head, "Seriously, don't worry. Thanks for doing your part, Y/N. These berries look great. It's a shame some people might not be able to eat them." Toph scoffed as Katara gave her a look.
"...Okaaayyy. I'll get back to work." You said, sensing the tension between them. You walked over to Toph's tent.
"I don't need your berries or whatever. I can carry my own weight." She stated, turning away from you even though she could still see you just fine.
"Toph, I'm not trying to tell you to do anything. Well, anything other than taking the berries." You said, sitting down beside her. "What, you think I can't do it myself?" She held up her sack of food, "Ta-da!"
"You're my friend, Toph. I just wanted to give you something..." Toph seemed to tense up at your words. "...We're... Friends?" She questioned, placing the bag on the ground. "Of course we are. What did you think we were?"
"I dunno. I just..." Toph paused, then snatched the berries in your hands.
"Fine. I'll take your stupid berries." She sighed, her back still facing you. You gave her a smile. "Thanks."
You stepped out of Toph's tent and continued to help out. Katara tried to go try and talk to Toph again, but ended up just as annoyed as before, if not more. You tried to talk to her, but she pushed you aside.
You made a sleeping bag of void and crawled into it. You decided to focus on everything around you before you went to sleep, and sensed danger coming. You and Toph immediately yelled, "Guys!"
You looked at her in surprise, but turned back to the group to warn them. "There's something coming towards us!" Toph announced. "What is it...?" Aang yawned, half awake.
"It's a weird metal tank. It's gotta be from the Fire Nation." You said. "How do you know that...?" Toph muttered, confused. "If I focus, I can see a bunch of weird creation void stuff." You suddenly understood that you were a lot like your mother when it came to explanations.
"If it's the Fire Nation, it's bad news. Let's go!" Sokka ran towards Appa. "Right." You all flew away from the campsite, but you made sure to grab a few berries before you left.
You seemed to be the only one who wasn't tired. You figured it probably had something to do with Lso. Appa landed on a smooth piece of rock connected to a mountain, just as tired as everyone else.
"Ah, land, sweet land!" Toph leaped off Appa and stretched. "See you guys in the morning!" She grinned.
"Actually, could you help us unload?" Katara asked. "You want me to unload Sokka's funky smelling sleeping bag?" Aang took one for the team and handed the sleeping bag to Sokka.
Katara and Toph began bickering, but the final straw was when Toph slammed the door to her tent. "Should we do something...?" Aang mumbled, concerned for Katara's mental state. "When Katara gets that angry, it's better to let her finish raging." You rubbed the back of your neck, hoping it wouldn't lead to her mentioning how you still owed her food.
Aang hesitantly approached Katara, only to get yelled at. "And that's why." Sokka sighed putting his arms behind his head.
You all managed to get a tiny bit of sleep, when... "That tank is back!" Toph shouted. "Well, how far away is it? Maybe we can close our eyes for a little longer..." Sokka said, voice muffled due to his mouth being covered by his sleeping bag.
"I don't think so, Sokka..." You looked at the trees, only to see a trail of smoke. "How does that thing keep finding us?" Toph rubbed her chin, thinking. "I don't know, but I'm going to make sure we lose it."
Appa flew away again, but once he found a place to rest, he sent everyone and their belongings crashing down. You brushed dirt off yourself and pet Appa's head. "Sorry, Appa. You must be exhausted..."
You rested your entire hand on his head. Appa shut his eyes and leaned into your touch. Your eyes widened as a purple light emitted from your hand. It seemed to stagger and twist uncomfortably before returning into your palm.
You stared at your hands in confusion, then noticed you felt a bit sleepy. You also noticed that Appa was a little less sluggish. What did you just do...?
