Anticipation

Everyone dashed into the beach house to look for him, when you spotted his staff laying on the ground.

"He left his staff? That's so strange..." Sokka muttered. "Aang's not in the beach house. Let's check the beach." Zuko said. Katara seemed to be the most worried out of everyone, rushing to the shore first.

"Look, there's his footprints!" Sokka exclaimed. "They stop right at the water."

"So... He went for a midnight swim and never came back?" Suki questioned.
"Maybe he was captured." Katara muttered.

"I don't think so, there's no sign of a struggle." Sokka stated. "I bet he ran away again." Toph hummed.

"No, there's no way he'd leave Appa. Don't you remember how he acted in the desert without him?" You said.

"So what happened, then?" Toph inquired. "It's pretty obvious. Aang disappears before an important battle? He's definitely on a spirit world journey." Sokka deduced.

"But if he was, wouldn't his body still be here?" Zuko quizzed. "Oh, yeah, I... Forgot about that." Sokka sighed.

"Then he's got to be somewhere on Ember Island. Let's split up and look for him." Katara said.

Toph latched onto Zuko's arm, "I'm going with Zuko!" His eyes widened, surprised.
"What?! Everyone went on a life-changing field trip with him, now it's my turn!"

"Y/N, who will you pair up with?" Katara asked. "I'll go with–" You paused for a moment, a memory popping into your mind.

"Oka isn't going directly to the Air Temple. He's going to use it as a point to fly towards the Northern Water Tribe. He's in Northern Earth Kingdom air right now. Close to your sister tribe."

"Oka will attack on the day of Sozin's Comet," 740 said.

You had to get to the Northern Water Tribe, and fast.

"Y/N?" Katara placed a hand on your shoulder.
   "I'm sorry, I can't help you guys search," You explained. "Oka's already on his way to our sister tribe, and he'll attack The North soon."

"Soon? How soon is soon?" Sokka questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"Three days. He plans to do it during Sozin's Comet." You stated.

Everyone fell silent.

"How are you going to reach The North Pole? It'll take you a long time without Appa." Zuko said.

"But... We need Appa to find Aang." Suki muttered.

You glanced at the ground, "I'll... Figure something out. You guys should go look for Aang."

Sokka hopped onto Appa to search the shores, while Katara and Suki went off to check the rest of the island.

You knelt down and placed your hands in the grainy sand. It made a low crunching noise at the contact, pressing against your palms.

Shutting your eyes, you focused. You sensed the entire island, but forced yourself to go further. By doing so, you were able to figure out the quickest path to the Nothern Water Tribe. You opened your eyes.

It would still be extremely difficult to reach it. What could you possibly do?

You fiddled with your toy butter-fly, lost in thought. All of a sudden, a peculiar idea came to you. You peered down at the plastic butter-fly. What if...

What if you gave yourself wings?

You almost wanted to laugh at the concept, but you realized... It could work. The only issue would be figuring out how to get rid of the wings once you were done with them.
