Meerab's rukhsati was eventful. As she danced in her engagement she was slapped by maa begum.
Meerab was on the terrace. Murtasim came and stood by her.
Murtasim : " Khud Khushi haram hai. Aur wo bhi aisi jagah se joh aapko bilkul pasand na ho. Not a good idea."
Meerab : " Meri Marzi. Main jaha se bhi kud ke maru. Tumse matlab. Aur waise bhi main kisi ko bata ke nahi marungi."
Murtasim : " Haa Bhai tum toh surprise deti ho. Lekin let me tell me one thing. Tumhare Marne se kisi ko kio farak nahi padne wala hai."
Meerab : " Akele nahi marungi sabko maar ke marungi. Aur tumhare khadan ki baat chod hi do. Yaad toh thapad padte hai ya beizzati hoti hai."
Murtasim : " Tum Maan kyun nahi leti?"

Meerab looked at him astonished.
Murtasim : " Chalo abhi."
Meerab : " Mujhe nahi jana hai."
Murtasim: " Waise ek baat batau tumhe. Yeh joh Ghar hai bahaut arse(long time) band raha hai. Logon se pata chala ki kuch thik nahi hai andar. So be careful. Okay ?"
Meerab looked tad bit scared. So she said, " Agar tum nahi jaate toh mai hi chali jaati hu."
Meerab went ahead fixing her dupptta and chain around her neck.
Murtasim was walking behind her just a few steps back. Suddenly the lights went off. Scared meerab hugged him.
Meerab : " Huh murtasim. "
Murtasim took out a lighter to light the room a little in darkness. Both were still gazing in each other's eyes. Meerab could feel his warm presence against herself.
Murtasim : " Darr lag raha hai?" He asked her in an teasing tone.
Meerab pushed him off and said, "Ji nahi, mujhe Darr nahi lagta."
And she walked out saying that. He again did that.
Meerab : " Ye phisul harkat tum kar rahe the. Aur tumse expect bhi kya kiya ja sakta hai."
