Charlie slowly disembarked the stairs of the hotel groggily.

She was always the late of the hotel inhabitants to rise, but today was different.

Her heart ached terribly as she twirled the spear in her hand.

She had developed a habit of carrying the weapon around in the confines of the hotel.

"Hey." Husk greeted.

"Look who got up early" he said with a smile.

She forced a smile, but it wilted as her face fell back into a pensive frown.

She gazed at Niffty whom was giddily smearing the bulletholes on the hotel wall with new plaster.

Husk gazed at his claws before he gazed at Charlie.

"We all miss her." He said.

Charlie sighed as she faced him.

"Not like I do " she replied with a smile.

"I miss everything about her." She continued.

"Her smile."

"Her touch."

"Her everything..." Charlie continued as her eyes beamed, shuffling through all the things she loves about vaggie.

Husk smiled at a genuine happiness palpable in her voice.

"I just ..want to see her again." She finished.

"Well, your daddy can arrange that, can't he ?" Husk asked

Charlie expression changed as she nodded in agreement.

"He can." She replied.

"Then you've got everything covered." Husk said.

She continuing to the door, slowly bringing out her phone to peer at the "37" missed calls he had left her.

"10" was on the day before yesterday.

"10" was yesterday.

And "17" was today.

She had considered answering, but decided not to.

She was slightly bothered however
by the fact that he only chose to call, instead of inviting himself over.

"It's your home as much as mine."

She slowly returned the phone back into her pocket.

"If you want to apologize ... do it in person." She whispered.

She kept the spear by the wall and opened the hotel doors with a creak savouring the breeze that gushed in.

Lights flashed from every angle, blinding her already unadjusted eyes causing her to she flinch away.

"CHARLIE MORNINGSTAR !!"

"Charlie maigne !!"

"Charlie !!"

The mob of reporters yelled as they crowded her with little respect to her status.

They all held mics of various shapes and sizes to her mouth in question.

"Have you heard of the disappearance of all the vee's ?" One questioned.

"Vox tower sank deep underground." Another added.

"Are you responsible ?" One asked.

"What ?" Charlie asked

"There's no way she's responsible." Another stated.
