Sokka and Katara froze with shock. "...No wonder. ...No... Wonder." Katara huffed,
"So not only is he the guy that chased us all over the world and took away our mother's necklace... He's the reason you've been so distant."

"He's one of the only reasons I didn't go insane being away from you, from Sokka, from dad, from Gran-gran, and mom! Mom..." You clenched your fists.

"Clearly, you don't mind being away from us anymore, since you're all buddy-buddy with Zuko now!" Katara grunted.

You grit your teeth,
"Would you please stop seeing things from just your point of view?!"

Katara shook her head, "No, would you start seeing things from mine?! You need to stay away from him! Right, Sokka?"

You stared at Sokka, hoping he'd try and understand you.

"..." He glanced at Katara, you, and then Zuko.

Sighing, he said, "Zuko's dangerous,
Y/N. You have to stay away from him."

You gazed at your brother in disbelief.

"...Y/N, I don't want to come between you and your family." Zuko whispered, about to place a hand on your shoulder.

Katara gave him a death stare, so he retracted his hand.

"If you won't accept me, then maybe you'll take me as a prisoner. That way, everyone's happy, right?" Zuko muttered.

"No, we won't!" Katara tried to attack him, but you created a shield of void.

"Get out of here, and don't ever come back! Y/N, you're the one who needs to stay." Katara ordered.

You grunted in anger, "Won't you even consider my own happiness!?"

"You'd be better off without him, Y/N." Sokka stated.

"You don't get to decide for her." Toph retorted. "So you're defending him, too?" Katara inquired.

Toph scoffed, "No, I'm saying that Y/N is her own person."

Aang looked at everyone arguing, then he glanced at you. "Sorry, Y/N." He mumbled. He then turned to Zuko, "I think it's best if you leave."

Zuko gave your hand a subtle squeeze, "Don't come after me. Stay with your siblings, please."

You bit your lip before nodding. You felt agitated to the point of tears. A red butter-fly flew by in the distance. You weren't sure if it made you feel ever so slightly better, or even worse.

Zuko waved goodbye to you and sighed before walking away.

Aang hesitantly began to speak, "Y/N, I know you feel upset right now, but I'm sure you'll feel better if you–"

"Are you guys happy?" You questioned, "You don't know the hell I went through back then. You don't know the pain I've gone through now.
And now that I'm trying to tell you about the ONE person who was there for me through it all, you..."

"Y/N, it's for the bes–"

"This is only the best for you! All you care about is what you think, what you want from me! While the only reason I never told you about this wasn't for me. It was all for you, because I feared you would react this way."

Sokka's expression softened, "It's just that we want what's good for you. Zuko? He's everything but good. We're your family, you know?"

"It doesn't feel like it." You said.

Aang's eyes widened, "Y/N, that's–"

"That's how I feel right now, honestly. My own experiences don't matter, do they? I'm grown, and you don't get to tell me who I can and can't love."
