Revealing

Just as you were about to swing away with a lasso of void, you felt a tight lasso of hot water around your limbs.

Oka dragged you down into the soil, staring at you blankly. A sick smile grew on his face as you stared back at him.

"I could sense it in Prince Zuko's room..A snow savage favored by the ocean and moon. I figured you'd have to stay in the palace." Oka grinned,
"Come on, hit me. Show me that power of yours."

You couldn't just run, he would attack again. A fight would make you lose time to meet up with Zuko.

You pretended to stumble backwards and landed on the grass with your hands hidden behind your back.

"It'd be far more impressive to chase me down instead of blocking the way like a coward." You scoffed.

Oka sneered, "Why would I chase a grotesque, foul, icy imbecile like you? You're rather ugly to look at. Oh, but your powers are fun."

"Icy imbecile? R is for racist rat."
You hit Oka from behind and tied him to a tree by changing the properties of your void attack to a tougher substance.

"...You're from the Water Tribe, too. I mean, you're from my sister tribe, and I know there's a bit of bad blood between us, but-"

Oka cut you off, "No, no. That's not it."

He glared you right in your eyes with a sick smile, "I want to rid the world of all of you, the same way the Fire Nation got rid of all the Airbende-"

You launched a wave of void straight at him, disgusted. "You... You're a madman."

Oka smirked at you with a nod, "That's what they thought, too."

Stiff and appalled, you added an extra layer of restraints around Oka before hesitantly leaving.

It wasn't like you could just... Kill him. Well, you had the power to, but... It'd be wrong.

"What... What is wrong with that guy?"

"I'm going to join the Avatar and help him defeat you." Zuko stated.

Ozai sat across from Zuko, the same eternally cold look in his eyes.

"Oh really? Since you're a full-blown traitor now and you want me gone, why wait? I'm powerless. You've got your swords. Why don't you just do it now?" Ozai asked. His words were more of a taunt than a question.

"Because I know my own destiny. Taking you down is the Avatar's destiny. Goodbye." Zuko spun on his heel and walked away, re-sheathing his sword.

"Coward! You think you're brave enough to face me, but you'll only do it during the eclipse. If you have any real courage, you'll stick around till the sun comes out."

Despite Ozai's attempts to get a rise out of him, Zuko kept walking away.

"Don't you want to know what happened to your mother?" Ozai inquired.

"I already know the truth." Zuko said.

"There is going to be an attack on the Northern and Southern Water Tribes. The home of that spacebender." Ozai declared.

Zuko paused for a moment but kept moving, "Then I guess you'll get to see me fight against you soon, just like you wanted back then."

"It won't be led by me. Someone else is going wipe out all residents of the Water Tribe. They're going to use the spacebender's power."

Zuko froze and turned ever so slightly, "...Y/N is-"

"Oka told me of his suspicions that the spacebender survived. He's everything you aren't." Ozai said, smirking.

"Oka... What... What's his plan?"

"He's going to use a forbidden style of bending to wipe them all out. Combining that with the spacebender's abilities to manipulate the earth and to see every last living being, he could turn the North and South Pole into a myth,"
Ozai shut his eyes, "He could wipe them off the face of the earth. And a disgrace like you..."

Ozai's eyes opened ever so slowly,
"Shall meet the same fate."

He generated a mighty bolt of lightning in mere seconds and shot it straight at Zuko, his own son.

The force of the bolt made Zuko slide back, but he managed to redirect it right to Ozai, a monster of a human being.

There was a large explosion, and Ozai was flung backwards, shocked and enraged. All that stood in front of him was ash and an open door. Zuko had already left.

The invasion had ended in favor of the Fire Nation. Thankfully, you and Zuko arrived on the docks at about the same time.

He took your hand and helped you enter the war balloon he had managed to take, and the two of you took off into the clouds.

"Where's Iroh?" You asked, a bit worried.

"He broke out of prison on his own. I don't know where he is, but... He probably wouldn't want to see me." Zuko whispered.

You shook your head,"No, I'm sure he does."

Zuko hummed upon noticing your short response, "You look like something's bothering you. What's up?"

"I ran into Oka earlier. He said some... Unnerving things." You muttered.

"..." Zuko tensed up at the other male's name, "I heard he was planning an attack on the North and South. I heard he was planning to use you."

"Yeah, he... Yeah." You glanced at the land far below you, still shaken by Oka's words.

Zuko placed a hand on your shoulder, "You don't have to talk right now if you don't feel like it."

"Thank you." You mumbled, looking at the puffy clouds.

So many crazy things had happened.

Bai Hong, meeting 740 and Baoshi, Oka's plan...

But as your mind went through all your past experiences, you recalled the argument you had with Katara about Zuko.

You would have to reveal everything that had happened. And although the two of you seemed to fix things last time you talked, after Zuko's decision and Ba Sing Se's fall...

How would Katara react? How would Sokka react? Aang? Toph?

Trying to hide it all like you did in the past would result in more pain and trouble for your siblings, friends and you, wouldn't it?

The thick clouds seemed to get thinner and smaller as you and Zuko got closer to your destination until the sky was completely clear.

Everything would be revealed, and you wanted to be the one to reveal it yourself.

You shut your eyes for a moment, before opening them with vigor. Facing them with how you really felt and what you truly believed, that was what you had to do.

You peered over at Zuko. You couldn't imagine how he was feeling. He had come so far...

"Hey," You smiled, "I've got your back, okay?"

Zuko nodded, the corners of his mouth turning up, "I've got yours, too."
