Do You Want My Hatred?

Start from the beginning

"But you just stood—Or, I guess you kind just... Slumped over and... And you asked for that stupid, old, ugly picture. Your art is garbage, and I really don't know why I kept that thing around when I could ask a painter to make a whole portfolio of those stupid butter-flies."

"Seriously, why are you so... So weird?"

You glanced at the ground, "I... I don't know. I guess... I've never really wanted to hurt anyone."

"Wait, wait, wait. Aside from Zhao, I really wanted to hurt him." You corrected yourself,

"Sometimes I blame myself for the reason someone acted a certain way, or my empathy outweighs my frustration."

"That's... I can't understand that. If someone wrongs you, then you should get back at them. It's the easiest thing in the world to understand." Mei argued.

"Do you want me to hate you, Mei?" You asked.

"...If you did, I wouldn't feel this... Weird inside." Mei huffed.

"But then you'd feel anger inside, right? I would rather feel, I don't know, happy-ish?" You shrugged internally since you couldn't raise your shoulders.

"...Y/N. I can't free you. So you can be honest about how you really feel." Mei muttered.

"I've been nothing but honest this whole time. Ah, but what you said about my art made be a bit angry. I worked really hard on this picture, y'know!" You laughed.

"...Y/N..." Mei let out a breath, "You have to get yourself out of here."

"I'm well aware, so stop wasting our time and go! I'll figure something out." You hummed.

"...You're... Gonna have to give me sixty improved drawings of those butter-flies as thanks, you idiot."

You heard Mei's footsteps grow quieter and quieter.

Alright. You had to do something.

You shut your eyes. If something was disturbing your ability to focus, it could only be something within you.

Everything was dark. Confused, you opened your eyes.

You were inside your own headspace, the place where you and Lso would normally meet.

Red cracks were everywhere.

Walking closer to inspect them, you saw the faint image of... Lso!

Her hands were pressed firmly against the staggering maroon lines, a purple energy pulsating through them.

Copying her actions, you placed your hands on the void around you, focused, and found yourself standing in front of your own body.

You wanted to touch the stones on your hands, but your hand phased right past them.

Shocked, you tried to touch your head.

You were back in your headspace.

You shifted your hands to the side and focused once more.

You could see your gloves and the rock surrounding them.

What caught your eye the most... Were the spikes on the back of your gloves. The issue was, they were decorative. The wouldn't do much against hard rock.

You touched your head and shifted your hands far away from Lso.

Standing in front of the metal door, you allowed your fingers to phase through it and took in all its traits.

It was thick, smooth, and tough.

You moved your fingertips to the edges of the door.

It felt sharp, strong, and wide.

You made contact with your head and went back to your gloves.

You set your fingers on the fake spikes and took note of their characteristics.

They were thin, small, and dull.

You began to alter their properties to the ones of the metal door, increasing their length and size until...

"CHŬK!"

The stones came right off your hands.

You walked into your body with a smirk and dashed towards the metal door, piercing through it.

You set the spikes back to their original form and sprinted out the room.

"SHE'S OUT!" An agent shouted.

You ran your fingers against the wall— heavy, hard, brick—and shot out solid, yet wavy void with the same exact properties.

A wide fissure of stone was aimed at your head, and as you rolled on the ground, you took in its attributes.

You made a fissure through the ceiling and launched yourself out the secret room.

You bolted out the palace without looking back.

What was Lso doing?

If the void in your headspace connected to parts of the world around you, and those cracks were right in front of the place which led to your own body...

...Something dangerous was coming.
