Loki transported us back to were we'd stopped to let the horses rest and laid me on the ground quickly, he ripped ripped the leather pants easily and I winced when it jerked my leg.
I leaned up on my elbows and my eyes widened.
It looked like a small shark had attacked me, black spider web like veins coming out of every tooth hole.
"That's not good." I slurred feeling my head swim.
Loki gripped my leg and began cleaning it with a conjured cloth. I cried out in pain feeling as if my entire calf was bleeding lava into my thigh.
"What the hell got her?" Bane asked running up.
"Goblins" Loki spat, focused my my wounds.
"Heal her already she's loosing to much blood!" Leza yelled kneeling down next to me.
I felt myself grow weak and I couldn't hold myself up anymore. I fell back into the grass and stared up at the sky trying to keep my eyes open.
"Don't you think I would have already if I could!" Loki yelled back.
"Goblin saliva blocks healing magic and keeps the blood flowing." He snapped lifting me up and pulling me against him. My head lazily rested against his chest and I listened to his heart.
He climbed onto his horse and sat me in front of him holding me tightly in place with one arm.
"You won't make it in time." Leza said softly to him.
"Well it's a good thing I didn't ask for your medical advice."
Loki kicked the horse and we took off at a gallop.
I felt my head falling forward but Loki's voice kept bringing me back every time my eyes got to heavy.
"Stay awake!"
I lost count of how long we rode but the movement of the horse made it hard for me to rest like I wanted to. Finally I stopped feeling the horse and was able to go limp and rest.
"Stay awake dammit!" He yelled into my ear.
When I didn't rouse he shook me roughly but I was to tired to listen.
"Fuck!"
The horse stopped and he pulled me off. I felt the ground on my back and the grass tickling my cheek.
My leg burned faintly but I was so exhausted, I didn't care about anything other than sleeping.
"Anna!" He said slapping my cheeks hard.
I groaned and rolled my head away from his attacks.
"Fight it, stay awake!" He said taking me by the shoulders and lifting me into a sitting position.
"Open your fucking eyes!"
I tried my best to obey hearing the panic in his voice.
I managed to get them half open but it took more energy then I had and I slipped back into a state of aware unconscious.
Loki cursed and suddenly something warm was dripping into my mouth and down my throat.
My eyes snapped open and I felt like my body was being electrocuted. I convulsed against it, screaming into the arm that was pressed to my lips and tried to shove it away but a hand on the back of my head held it firmly to my mouth.
My nails dug into the skin and tears rolled down my cheeks.
Someone was chanting something above me, I couldn't understand the words but I knew it was wrong.
Everything was wrong.
My mouth was released and I screamed, closing my eyes against it all, tears sliding down my cheeks faster now.
"Shh, Anna. Don't fight it."
I recognized the voice and tried to listen to it.
Tried to focus on the hand sliding through my hair.
My body shivered violently but the pain ebbed and I stopped screaming. My breaths came more even and I relaxed into the grass.
I felt myself being picked up and there was a quick snap as the atmosphere changed around me.
Voices flooded my ears and I felt myself falling to the ground and cracked my eyes at the commotion.
A man was on his hands and knees breathing hard before he collapsed next to me.
I frowned and lifted my head up.
"Hey.." I mumbled to him worried.
"What the hell is going on!" I heard someone shout.
"They just appeared, they seem to be injured!"
I reached out for the man and grabbed a fistful if his shirt and tried to shake him but my arms wouldn't obey.
"Loki." I croaked not knowing how I knew his name.
I felt myself slip away but I kept a hold on his shirt.

When I opened my eyes I was aware that my hand was empty and and that my leg burned like hell.
I cried out and jolted into a sitting position and ripped the blankets off my lower half and was relieved to see my leg still there.
The wounds were smaller now, a soft orange glow was around my calf like a living bandage.
"You're awake."
My eyes found Frigga in the corner of the room.
"How long have I been out?"
"Just a day."
"A whole day? As in twenty four hours?" I asked shocked.
"You lost a lot of blood, it took a significant amount of magic to bring you back and stop the wound from festering. Goblins are nasty creatures." She said with the most disdain I'd ever seen her express.
"Where's Loki?" I asked remembering him collapsing next to me.
"He's been resting..there's something you should know." She said standing and coming to my bedside and taking my hand.
"My son, in order to save your life had to use some very dark magic." She said lowly.
My lips parted in shock and small snippets came back to me. I tried to decipher them the best that I could but I had to close my eyes to see them.
"Did he..make me drink his blood?" I gasped opening my eyes, remembering the arm against my mouth, warm metallic liquid pouring down my throat, my body on fire as I was forced to drink it
Frigga pursed her lips.
"It's a little more complicated than that but yes. You're lucky your body accepted the offering."
"The offering?" I repeated in a whisper.
She sat down on the edge of bed.
"He used his own blood to accelerate your healing but.. you are two completely different beings, your body tried to reject it. He forced enough magic into your blood that it healed you enough to survive the initial poison and blood loss. We are working on healing the outer wounds now." She said gesturing to my leg and the odd energy wrapped around it.
I let my head fall back against the pillows.
"Is he okay?" I asked turning my head to look at her.
"He's..tired, but he'll be okay." She said patting my hand.
I looked away from her before the tears in my eyes dared to fall.
I realized wasn't in my room, the room I was in was adorned with green curtains and black furniture.
I was in Loki's room, in his bed.
"Why aren't I in my room?"
"Loki wanted you in his quarters, put up a pretty big fight with the healers. You know how he gets." She said laughing lightly.
"Anna, I'd like to share something with you."
I waited for her to continue and she scooted closer.
"My son..is very taken with you."
My breath caught in my throat.
"He has never put his own life at risk to save someone else's.-"
I heard arguing outside the doors, Thor and Loki came in interrupting what Frigga was about to say next.
When the brothers saw me awake and sitting up in the bed, I sank down into the blankets at Loki's furious gaze.
"You idiot." He snarled stalking towards me.
"What the hell were you thinking! Why in gods name would you go into the forest alone?"
I eyed Frigga but she was ushering Thor from the room. I pleaded with her silently but she shook her head and gave me a small smile before leaving and shutting the doors.
When I didn't respond Loki smacked a basin of water off the bedside table.
"Do you have a death wish?"
"Do you? Did you almost die giving me your blood?" I snapped back.
"To make sure you didn't die on my horse. Who by the way you owe a bath, he's covered in your stinking human blood." Loki growled.
"Oh great here we go, it always comes back to that doesn't it."
I went to get up but Loki shoved me down into the bed.
"Lay down, you can't get up right now."
I shoved his hands away.
"I don't care I don't want to be around you."
"How's that for grateful." He scoffed.
"You're being a dick, I didn't realize the Goblins were tracking me. I'm sorry! Okay?"
He rubbed his face and looked at me, opened his mouth like he was going to say something but clamped it shut again.
"Why am I in your room?" I asked needing to break the silence.
"Be quiet, you need to rest."
I narrowed my eyes at him and leaned back.
"Tell me something." I said after a few seconds making him toss his hands up in exasperation.
"Why haven't you been hassling me to free you?"
"Because you won't." He said after a few moments.
"You went and did your community service without being forced to the other day, and then you saved me using very illegal magic when you're on probation and it could have killed us both."
"You were going to die." He muttered shifting uncomfortably on the bed.
"Are you getting soft on me?" I asked raising my eyebrow.
He growled and leaned in, placing his hands on either side of me.
"I saved you because you're worth more to me alive than dead and I'm behaving so I can be released."
A few weeks ago I would have believed his harsh jabs but now his actions were speaking louder than his words.
His eyes looked tired and raw.
His mother said he'd been tired, it looked like he'd almost drained himself dry by looking at his grayish hue to his skin and the dark circles under his eyes.
A large white bandage wrapped around his right arm and I'd bet that was where he'd cut himself so his blood would pour into my mouth while he enchanted it.
How he'd managed to still teleport us after draining himself into me was not only impressive, it was something a hero would do.
I reached up and brushed the hair away from his face, he flinched at the intimate contact but didn't pull away.
"Thank you." I said softly.
He stared at me for a minute and I dropped my hand.
"You need to rest."
I nodded and laid back down into his pillows.
When he went to get up I grabbed his hand.
It was the first time I'd willingly touched his hands like this and the contact send a tingle up my arm.
He looked down at our hands and then back to me.
"Stay.." I said so quiet I wasn't sure if he heard me.
He slowly sat back down and I let out a small breath of relief he hadn't rejected the request.
I held onto his hand as I closed my eyes and as I was drifting off to sleep I felt his thumb run across my fingers lightly, making me smile.
