When I opened my eyes, bright light streamed in from the window.
It took a couple seconds before my brain caught up with the current events.
Loki.
I rolled over in bed and came face to face with the man himself.
"God! What are you doing!" I squealed, grabbing the covers and pulling them tightly against my bare chest. I shoved him and he bolted out of the bed.
"What! What's happening?" He asked whipping his head around searching the room for danger.
"Why are you in bed with me!" I shrieked accusingly.
He rolled his eyes realizing there weren't any immediate threats.
"Where would you expect me to sleep, on the floor?" He scoffed.
"Yes!"
"You can't be serious?" He said looking equally surprised and disgusted before shrugging it off.
He ruffled his hair as he stretched and my eyes caught on the lines dipping down into his leather pants.
Lord in heaven..
For someone so tall and slender, the man was covered in lean muscle.
His stomach rippled when he leaned back down after stretching his back and he reached for his tunic on the back of a chair.
I tore my eyes away, disgusted with myself for finding it incredibly hard to do, so instead I closed them and rubbed my palms into my sockets until I saw galaxies.
Maybe if I rubbed them hard enough I would get the image of that stupid carved body out of my brain.
"Let's just put aside the fact that you're a lunatic who tried to take over my world and that alone should be enough reason why I wouldn't want to sleep in the same bed as you." I said opening my eyes hoping he was covered.
"But I'm naked." I snapped feeling my face turn red as I gathered the blankets up and wrapped them around me sliding from the mattress onto the floor.
"When is anyone going to let that go, I didn't succeed did I." He muttered strapping his armor back onto his chest.
I stared at him opened mouthed, shocked by his sheer nonchalant nature about any of this.
"Trust me, I didn't know you were unclothed."
At the mention of my nakedness his eyes roamed over my bare shoulders and threatened to dip down farther.
I gripped the blanket tighter.
"Trust you? I trusted you yesterday and look what happened!"
"It was dark, you were under the blanket, I had no idea that you liked to sleep nude."
"I don't! But I don't have any clothes!" My voice was becoming increasingly high pitched, the stress from the nightmare this had turned into was getting to me.
He looked at me like he thought I might explode.
"Are you alright?" He asked leaning slightly back.
"No! I'm not alright! I've been kidnapped by a phsyco who teleported away, leaving me stranded. I'm naked and I'm hungry!" My voice had reached a pitch I hadn't even known it could go and Loki winced at the decimal.
A bundle of clothes appeared in his hand and he held them out to me gingerly.
I snatched them and waddled to the bathroom dragging the large comforter with me and attempted to slam the door only to find the trail of blanket was stopping me.
I heard a snicker and my eyes snapped up to Loki, he looked absolutely tickled at the sight of me struggling pathetically, wrapped in a blanket and red faced.
I ripped the rest of the blanket inside the bathroom and kicked the door closed so hard the door frame rattled in protest.
I pulled my bra out of the mess of still wet clothes, inspected it and then tossed it to the side refusing to put the still sopping mud crusted article of clothing on my clean body.
Whatever Loki has given me would have to be okay without it. I picked it up and when it unfolded on itself I realized it was a baby blue dress, like I'd never seen before.
The material felt like a cross between muslin and fleece.
I held it close to my eyes so I could see it in detail without my glasses. It had long ties crisscrossing along the front bodice with little white beads at the ends and small silver embellishments lined in an interesting pattern around the waist.
"Are you serious! You couldn't conjure clothes from my era?" I yelled at him from the bathroom.
I pulled the dress on and found that my bra wasn't needed with with how tight the chest was. It confirmed to my body like it was made with my exact measurements and fell in rippling waves around my legs.
When I walked out Loki was looking out the window.
"Seriously can't you give me any clothes that look normal?"
He turned around and his eyebrow arched at the sight of me in the dress he'd conjured.
"As if your midgauardian clothes are normal, the dress suits you."
I hated the way my chest fluttered as he looked over me appraising his work as he left the window and made his way across the small room.
"Now, if only we could do something about your hair.."
His hand came up and pinched a long lock of my sandy colored hair between his thumb and finger giving it a small tug as he spoke.
I narrowed my eyes and smacked his hand away.
"My hair is fine. You should worry about your own." I snapped.
He smirked and raked his fingers through his black hair pulling it away from his face before it fell back into place perfectly.
The act had no business being seductive and my shoulders tensed as he took another step forwards.
"Do they not have personal space in Asgard?" I asked ignoring the feeling to step back, refusing to let him win this little game of cat and mouse he insisted on playing.
He smirked and stepped around me, but slipped something into my hand as he passed.
I realized it was a pair of glasses, not mine but instead a pair that was dark green and slightly oval.
I scoffed at the color choice but shoved them onto my face anyway. They were my exact prescription.
Magic, I thought to myself and wrinkled my nose in annoyance.
"Come. Let's feed you before your little human body faints again."
I grumbled a few unkind words but followed him out of the room like the good little prisoner I was becoming.
