Loki and I were supposed to be in the community today, he was supposed to be fixing a few roofs for the towns people.
A shot of adrenaline dumped into my body at the thought of seeing him. We hadn't been face to face since we'd completely obliterated the lines you're not supposed to cross with enemies.
I bit my lip as fresh guilt wracked my heart.
If Devin knew what I'd done..he'd hate me and he'd have every right to.
I had sex with the man who killed him.
I let my face fall into my hands and tried to compose myself, I needed to get it together.
I had a mission and it still needed to be completed. Whatever happened, happened and I wouldn't give it another thought.
Loki and I would have to be around each whether it was awkward or not.

Loki's POV
The sun beat down on me as I lined up the wood that would be fixing the peasants rooftops.
I knew I could just snap my fingers and it would be done but then I'd have to face Anna's wrath for not doing it myself.
She would already be angry that I went without her today but I needed some time to figure out what I was going to do when I saw her.
I was so lost in my own thoughts I didn't see the hammer going for my finger.
I cursed and shook the pain from my hand.
When I looked back down I saw an angry looking Anna standing below me, arms crossed.
Her lips were in a pout and her eyes looked like she was ready to fight.
She looked exactly like she had yesterday, I didn't know why I had expected her to look different.
It was a relief to have her scowling at me, that was normal, expected even.
"What? You're in such a hurry to help now that you can't even wait for me?" She called up.
"I assumed you'd need as much rest as possible from yesterday." The words tumbled out before I could stop them and her eyes brows raised slightly.
"Is that so." She said trying to keep the annoyed look on her face but she seemed relieved that I was joking with her.
"Maybe you should have gotten more rest yourself, you look like shit." She shot back walking to the ladder and started climbing up.
I smirked at her climbing up a ladder in a baby blue dress, her hair down and swinging over her shoulders.
Human women were something else.
I stopped her before she could join me on the half caved in roof.
"What?" She asked confused.
"You can't come up here, you're clumsy enough without trying to walk on a rickety roof in a dress."
She rolled her eyes and gave me a retort about asguadian men being annoying, when the wind blew the hair back.
My eyes found a purple blotchy mark, adorning her skin in the crook between her shoulder and neck.
I felt my dick twitch in my pants, aroused at seeing my mark left on her.
"Loki." She snapped.
I blinked and looked at her.
"What?"
"Move over, I need to make sure your not using magic to do your work."
I decided to indulge her and let her up onto the roof. She swung her legs over and straddled one of the large support beams like she was mounting a horse.
"Okay back to work." She said clapping.
She seemed unfazed, like nothing had happened.
It was a quality that I admired and hoped for in the women I slept with but I realized it was bugging me.
I hadn't expected her to be gushing over me but after the fucking I'd given her and the way she'd been clinging to me, you'd think she'd at least have the decency to look a little abashed in my presence.
I paused my work and glanced up at her, she was biting her lip. I wasn't sure if she knew she was doing it but I wanted to bite it for her.
This was not supposed to happen, she was supposed to be the one that wanted more.
I was going to have to find another way out of Asgard, one that didn't involve Anna.
In fact, I needed to get rid of her sooner rather than later. She was causing more problems then she was solving.
"Earth to Loki, hello."
I blinked and found Anna waving her hand in my face. I must have been staring at her.
Shit.
"That color doesn't suit you." I said, instantly regretting it when her face fell a little.
"I think it does." She said frowning.
"It doesn't." I said committed to the excuse as to why I'd been gawking at her.
"Well it's a good thing my job isn't to please you."
I found that I had to clench my lips closed to avoid saying something along the lines of how she definitely made it her job last night.
She seemed to follow my train of thought and her face turned red.
"I'm out of here, I don't need this." She said getting up and shoving at her glasses aggressively.
Now I'd done it.
"Anna." I groaned ready to give her some sort of apology.
Someone whistled from below us and a chorus of laughter erupted from a few men that stood in the house.
Anna was standing on a plank that was bare on both sides, giving the men below a pretty good view of what was under her dress.
I gripped the hammer ready to bash a few heads in with it when her face blanched and she slid to the ladder, moving down it to quickly. Her foot caught on her dress and she slid down the ladder falling into the horse trough beside it with a splash.
I snarled in rage at the men roaring with laughter now. I materialized down by her sitting in a horse trough drenched and embarrassed.
She looked like a beautiful mess.
