When I cracked my eyes open, my head pounded in protest.
I realized I was going to throw up and ran for the door, threw it open and emptied the contents of my stomach into the dirt outside. I wiped my mouth and groaned resting my head on the doorframe.
It was still slightly dark outside, the sun was just coming up over the hills.
I went back inside and laid down on the cot but couldn't fall back asleep so I laid there until everyone else roused and started getting ready for the ride back to the palace.
I winced as someone clapped me on the back congratulating me on a good night of drinking.
Loki smirked noticing the slight green in my face and kneeled down in front of me.
"Have fun?"
I gave him a dirty look.
We packed up the horses and were mounted as we fell into our ranks easily.
The gate of the horse threatened to make me hurl again and I leaned back into Loki, closing my eyes trying to calm my stomach.
I felt him chuckle but didn't have the strength to tell him to shut up.
His arms moved closer on either side of me, giving me a more secure area to rest against him. My head laid in the crook of his neck and I could have swore that I felt him smell my hair.
I must have fallen asleep because Loki saying my name and shaking me gently had me blinking in confusion.
"We're stopping to let the horses rest."
I yawned and stretched, arching my back and bringing my arms up.
Loki hissed out a breath and I glanced over my shoulder to see him lick his lips, eyeing the curve of my back down to my ass that was nestled between his legs.
He slid off the horse and I caught him adjusting his pants quickly. I smiled but pretended not to notice while I waited for him to help me down.
My legs were sore. Worse then yesterday and I knew I was waking stiffly.
I patted Loki's horse and tried to stretch my legs looking around enjoying the scenic fields of Asgard.
A flash of color caught my attention in the trees and I squinted my eyes trying to see it better.
A faint glowing orb of royal purple was zipping in and out of the tree line going tree to tree like a bee would a flower.
I walked towards it slowly and cocked my head to the side, if I had been anywhere else other than Asgard I'd think I'd lost my mind, but it looked like a tiny fairy wizzing about just inside the forest.
My heart jumped in excitement.
I'd wanted to see a real fairy since I was a little girl. I don't know many women that didn't.
I crept up slowly not wanting to startle it as it settled onto the trunk of a tree, when I got close enough that I thought I could see little legs it dashed away.
I ran after it trying to keep up  when I felt something tighten on my ankle and yank me down and then up.
I bobbed upside down and swayed from side to side as I dangled from a tree.
I had to cover my mouth to keep from throwing up again from the sudden movements.
"We got her!"
I whipped my head to the left and saw a green man pop out from behind a tree, he grinned showing me his sharp teeth.
"Aren't you a pretty thing." He cooed.
"Goblins." I whispered.
"The last you'll ever see." He cackled and poked me with a stick.
"Don't play with the food." The other one said materializing in front of a group of bushes, shoving his friend away.
"Let me down!" I snapped to them trying to seem intimidating while hanging upside down.
"The sassy ones always taste better in my opinion."
His friend nodded in agreement and snickered evilly.
He smiled and held a small knife up swinging it into the tree I was hanging from and chopped the line holding me up.
A scream tore itself from my throat as I fell to the ground.
I didn't even have time to feel the pain of colliding with the forest floor, my head went first and black eclipsed my vision.
::
I came to and couldn't move.
I was suspended from a tree again, only this time I was right side up and hanging by my wrists.
The rope burned as it held my weight.
"Help!" I screamed.
"Be quiet or we'll kill you now." One of the Goblins hissed.
I clamped my mouth shut but fear wracked my body with shakes.
"What do you want?" I asked to the little men working on the fire.
"Asgardians gives us sustenance for months, and women are our favorite. The meat is so tender and sweet."
The goblin ran his long finger across my calf, I flinched when his nail cut all the way down and split the flesh.
I cried out and he grabbed my leg licking up it with a bumpy black tongue.
I kicked him with my other foot and he rolled backwards squealing.
"Help!" I screamed again struggling against the rope so hard my skin started to bleed as it was rubbed raw.
The goblins shrieked and one raised his hand and my air was suddenly cut off.
I could actually feel his hands around my neck choking the air from my lungs.
"I'll give you one more chance girl, only because I like my meat to be fresh. Open your mouth again and you die."
The air returned to my lungs and I gasped, coughing roughly.
My eyes searched the woods for Loki, for anyone but it was no use.
"We've had to be very patient we have, been tracking you since the pond."
"I'm not asgardian." I said tears pricking the corners of my eyes hoping they preferred the purebred homosapien rather than the midguard kind.
"You lie!"
"Her blood did taste foreign.." The other one said resting his hand on his friends arm. "Have a taste, tell me if you recognize it."
He smiled and appeared next to my bleeding calf. Instead of tasting the blood already dripping down my leg, he opened his mouth wide and I realized he was going to bite me.
His teeth sank into my flesh and I screamed at the top of my lungs unable to stop when my leg burned like it was being dipped in boiling water.
He tore his teeth out and then sank them in again, I could feel his tongue lapping up my blood, his mouth latched onto my skin sucking at it like a leech.
There was a flash of silver and the Goblins body fell from its head.
The head fell to the ground and rolled to the feet of the other goblin who screamed in rage.
Loki stood in front of me with a sword pointed to the live one.
"Prince Loki, how nice to see you."
"Be gone." Loki said calmly.
The goblin chuckled
"You don't scare me boy, I've got enough power to turn you into mince meat."
I started to feel dizzy and looked down at my leg, it was dripping large amounts of blood into the dirt.
"If you had any power at all there'd be more than two of you. You must have been the weak ones in the pack."
The goblin snarled and lunged at him. Loki fell to the ground and rolled to the side as the goblin transformed into a green badger, slashing at him with rounded claws. He threw the shifted goblin off him and put up a force field. The goblin cackled and slid slowly through the shield as if it were a minor inconvenience.
"I'll enjoy eating you both!" He screamed lunging at Loki.
The sword came down into its back just before its teeth sunk into Loki's leg.
It screamed and then transformed back into its goblin form.
Loki kicked it making sure he was dead before drawing the sword from it's body.
He ran to me and slashed at the rope suspending me. I braced for impact but Loki caught me before I hit the ground.
"I got you." He said dropping his weapon so he could hold me with both hands.
