I pulled arms close to my body and shivered as I trudged through the rain for what felt like hours.
I muttered every curse word I knew and tried to see through the rain as it pelted down like it had a personal vendetta.
Maybe it did, I'd freed the god of mischief after all.
Maybe there was a god of weather that was punishing me, this rain did feel unnaturally frigid.
I had no idea where I was, I was not in appropriate clothing, and Loki had completely disappeared on me. Unless I could find civilization, forcing Loki to leave me behind was about to kick me in the ass.
I could feel my extremities going numb and another violent shiver wracked my body.
I stopped and tilted my head towards my left trying to listen through the pounding rainfall.
I'd heard something, I was sure if it.
It sounded like music.
I'm going crazy.
I started walking again and cursed Loki for everything he was worth but the sound of guitars faintly drifted across my eardrums.
I stopped again squinted through the darkness.
I heard laughter in the distance and my heart sped up, giving my body a second wind.
I took off running towards the sounds of people, my feet slapped the soggy ground spraying water everywhere.
Lights winked at me through the heavy rain fall and I laughed out loud as they got slowly closer. My legs burned from exhaustion but I'd never been so happy to see signs of life.
I'd admit it, I had been scared to death up till about five minutes ago. I stopped running and caught my breath on the tip of a hill, below me was a rustic looking building, to small to be anything other than a bar. There were a few other lights scattered around the area but as far as I could tell this was the only structure. I stepped out to walk towards it and slipped on a muddy patch of grass, my body rolling through the mud down the hill at an impressive speed. My arms flailing out to catch myself but only ending up smacking the ground at every full roll.
I came to a stop when I rolled into wet gravel and if I hadn't been sure I was being punished before, I knew it with certainty now.
My elbows dug into the dirt and rocks holding myself up just enough my face wasn't in the ground. I groaned and decided to lay there for a few more moments. The rain continued to soak me without mercy and another shiver racked my sore body.
"Oh hell." I groaned as I pushed myself to my knees, then to my feet.
The music was loud now and the laughter of men spilled from the doors and windows.
I walked up to the window and peered inside, people were drinking and eating. Some had food like roasted  chicken or pot pies. My mouth watered and I realized I was so incredibly hungry, if it weren't for the familiar back facing me I might have truly passed out from hunger. My blood boiled and I trudged to the wooden door and slammed it open.
Loki was sipping on a drink at the bar when I took my first steps inside.
"Loki!" I yelled in complete and utter rage.
While my arrival didn't gain any attention, my outright battle cry did.
I was next to him in seconds and smacked the drink out of his hand making the glass shatter on the floor, he turned to me surprised at the sudden violence directed towards him.
I grabbed him by his leather armor and tried to shake him.
"Do you have any idea how long I've been walking, it's storming out there, and your sitting in here drinking a martini!" I raged while he grabbed my wrists trying to pry my hands off him.
"You son of a-" The words became tangled on my tongue and without meaning to I felt myself slipping to the floor like my legs were made of jelly.
"Anna?"
I heard Loki say my name but it sounded far away.
I knew I was laying but I couldn't remember where.
He slapped my cheek but I barley felt it. My eyes felt so heavy, they burned with the need to close them, so I did.
"You..suck." I mumbled before I let the darkness take over.
