"So, what's your first request?" I asked leaning back on my left foot, wanting to shift away from the glass prison.
If it weren't for the glass we would have only been about a foot away from one another.
"Freedom." He growled.
"I can't give you that."
He stared at me with an annoyed frown.
"You're going to give yourself a migraine if you dont blink soon." I said trying to ease the tension by teasing him.
He rolled his eyes but didn't look amused.
"I want books." He said finally.
"Books? What kind of books?"
"Do you not have books on this primitive planet?" He snapped.
"You're calling my planet primitive?" I snorted.
He glared but didn't respond.
"What genre, is what I'm trying to ask."
"Poetry, or literature."
I tapped my finger on my lip as lists of authors popped into my head.
"What did you think I'd ask for, children to sacrifice?" He asked deepening his scowl.
"Something like that." I shrugged.
"I wasn't going to massacre the planet, I wanted to rule you, help you to become a better race instead of the squabbling mice you are right now. You all would have thanked me in the end." He said turning away from me.
"I really hope you don't actually believe that."
"Your race is limited by its own stupidity and refusal to see that you crave guidance. You all wander aimlessly, waiting for someone to show you the way."
He spoke with pride and for once his voice was calm, but there was intense anger under it all.
"You're unbelievable, you actually believe what your saying don't you?" I asked shocked.
We all knew why Loki had come, we'd heard him say self righteous crap like this on the TV as it'd been broadcast all over the globe the night he attacked the Galla but hearing it first hand was something else.
"Does this count as the information needed to obtain my request?"
I leveled him with a annoyed frown.
"No."
Fury didn't leave me with any questions, so I guess I'd have to make my own.
"Let's sit." I suggested as I bent down and sat cross legged on the ground.
"You can't be serious."
"What? Just because you're a prince means you can't sit on the ground? Don't be such a baby, just sit down." I said openly goading him.
He huffed but sat down in front of me and if it weren't for the glass, our shoes would have touched at the tips.
"Did you control the beings that came through the wormholes?" I fired off as soon as he'd settled.
"No." He said hesitantly.
"Who did?"
He eyed me but didn't respond.
"You don't get anything if you don't talk." I reminded him, touching my glasses softly, moving them farther up the bridge of my nose.
"I don't feel like the question matches the reward."
"What kind of reward would you like for that answer?" I asked a little nervous for his response.
He smirked and licked his bottom lip slowly.
"Well if my freedom is off the table, I wouldn't mind some company."
I felt my face flush and heat flooded up my neck at the insinuation.
"Absolutely not." I snapped.
"Don't flatter yourself, I didn't have you in mind." He said wrinkling his nose.
To my horror, I felt embarrassed that I had just assumed he had meant me..why had I assumed he meant me?
His complete disgust at the thought only riled me up farther, like I was..offended.
"Surely you have whores on this planet."
I blinked at him and for some reason the absurdity of him bargaining for female company made me bark out a laugh despite my embarrassment and I rocked back slightly as it moved into a full on belly laugh.
"You want a prostitute?" I asked through my cackling.
"I fail to see the humor." He frowned.
"Sure, let me just call the brothel." I giggled wiping a stray tear from my eye.
"No but seriously, I can't do that." I said catching my breath.
Loki's Pov
I watched as she sank to the ground gracefully and poked at the plastic things on her face.
She touched them often and it annoyed me to no end, it seemed like she was always moving without thinking about it.
"You can't be serious." I said looking at the floor of my cell.
It hadn't been cleaned in the year id been locked up in here.
Once again she mocked me and I saw a childlike glint in her eyes, like she was challenging me.
Before I knew what I was doing, I was sitting across from her begrudgingly.
She fired the first question with impressive speed like she was anxious to hear answers.
"No."
"Who did?"
Her blue eyes watched me as she waited for me to answer. Her full lips pressed together in anticipation, but the answer was not meant for her, nor anyone else.
"I don't feel the question matches the reward."
She asked me what I wanted and so many things flew through my mind.
A shower longer than three minutes, a real pillow, real food...Sex.
That last one stopped my train of thought.
I often thought of the lack of sex I was receiving, or any type of sexual acts and it irked me.
It made my body itch with need. I tried not to think to hard on it, lest anything else get hard..and with the woman sitting across from me it was a possibility.
Her long blonde hair, big blue eyes and plump lips that betrayed her thought with their constant movements.
Sometimes she bit them nervously, other times she pursed them in frustration but my personal favorite, was when they parted ever so slightly in appreciation.
I found her irritating and I wanted nothing more than to clamp my hand over that mouth of hers and stop her from speaking, but I couldn't deny that she was attractive in the worst possible way.
Stimulating to my eyes and challenging to my mind.
My needs got the better of me and before I knew it my brain wasn't speaking anymore.
"If my freedom is of off the table, I wouldn't mind some company."
I pictured shutting her up, forcing her quiet with something other than my hand, those blue eyes looking up at me lustfully.
"Absolutely not." She said looking more than a little mortified.
I had never had a woman look at me like that, like I was some deformed dung shoveler.
She had no idea the pleasure I could give her, the pleasure Id given countless women. No mortal man could have had her the way that I was imagining having her.
"Don't flatter yourself, I didn't have you in mind." I lied.
Still attached to the idea of someone on the other end of my cock, I unabashedly asked for paid company. She laughed..actually laughed at me.
How insolent she was, maybe I would kill her when I was finally free, just for the satisfaction of never hearing her laugh again.
Not just laughing now but mocking me, again and then flat out refusing before growing serious again.
"Okay, I'm not going to get the answer to that question yet, fine. Just answer this next one and you'll get one book."
"I already answered one question. It doesn't seem like you have the power to give me anything of value." I snapped growing tired of this.
"I said you have to answer two and you already asked for books."
"Hurry up with it then." I said growing annoyed with her presence, no longer caring how inviting her lips looked.
"Why did you choose us?"
I smirked at her.
"Because you are all weak."
Her eyes grew hard and I knew I'd pissed her off, it was refreshing to turn the tables after she'd just laughed in my face.
Messing with her was the most fun I'd had in a year, even if it cost me some of my pride.
She got up without a word and started walking away.
"Hey! We had a deal!" I yelled standing up and smacking the glass.
"I'll be back with your stupid book." She called over her shoulder.
When she was gone I sighed and went back to my bench and sat down, waiting for her to return.
I'd been wracking my brain the last few days trying to find an angle I could work to my advantage.
Charming her was certainly out of the question as it seemed she despised me.
It was agonizing having a new chess piece but still not seeing how to use it to my advantage..I knew there was a way. Everyone could be used, I just needed to figure out how.
