I Will Never Give Up On You

Your surprised expression turned into a tender smile, "Ah, don't worry. It's already happened and I don't want to brood over the past."

"Y/N..." It was Zuko's turn to be surprised, "You've... You've grown."

"I have?" You put your index finger to your chin, "I guess... I have." You muttered.

"Back on your ship, I realized just how much the past could hurt. Now I know... You can't let the past control you. You've gotta take the risk and move forward."

You watched the clouds slowly drift across the marigold colored sky,

"Otherwise, you'll be stuck on something you can't change and forget about the present."

...And even if you could change things, that might not truly make anything better.

"Agh, no more important life advice! I've gotta learn how to stab suspicious figures!" You seethed, grabbing Zuko's hand and sprinting through the forest.

As you were running, you came across a section of the forest blocked off by branches and foliage.

You held out your hand, curious about what was behind the gate of vines.

You weren't met with the relaxing sight of nature, no.

Instead, an excruciating pain skidded along your veins.

You let out a cry of anguish, tightly clutching the wrist of your dominant hand.

Zuko ran to your side and watched in awe as your burn marks began to glow.
The vines, branches, and twigs all burnt to a crisp, leaving nothing but dark purple ashes on the ground.

You flinched in surprise- Something cold fell onto your hand.

It was a snowflake.

You looked up at the sky in shock and fear as snow began falling from the cloud above. How was that possible!? It was the start of spring, so how could the world go back a season!?

You thought back to Lso's speech,
"I used my power of time. But for every action, there is a reaction. If you ever obtain the relic of time, please, be careful."

"I stopped the humans from attacking the spirits, but due to my warping of time, the energy within the world shifted, bringing chaos. I had to prevent the erasure of life by allowing myself to be harmed. I lost my vision, and could only focus to see my surroundings. Once again, my world was dark."

...

A wave of realization and devastation crashed over you.

"Y/N, what's going on!?" Zuko's voice snapped you back to reality.

"I-I think someone's messing with time." Noting his confused expression, you continued, "Similar to the way I can warp space... Someone is warping time!"

"Then... Do you have any idea who it could be? If your powers are so similar, there should be some sort of link, right?" Zuko questioned.

"There should be, but I don't sense a-"
A sharp, unexpected pain suddenly hit you in the gut.

You doubled over in shock, stumbling backwards. You felt hysterical, thousands of unwelcome and unfamiliar feelings were gushing into your mind at a rapid speed. Your body couldn't keep up at all.

"Y/-" Zuko froze in horror as you coughed out blood. Purple gashes opened on your arms, a dark mist seeping out of them. Your face held so much pain-

...And then your face went blank.
All those emotions suddenly halted. You felt nothing but the blood dripping out your mouth and the power fading from your body. Your eyes shut.
